Clicker games or rapid tapping games are filling the Play Store these days. Often you will download a game, only to find out it is a one trick pony. The game is all clicking and no substance. Move along dear gamer, nothing to see here. Magic Cube’s latest foray into the Play Store is a bit different. Yes, Infinity Duels has a lot of rapid tapping and clicking, but there is an RPG underneath it all, that is worth checking out.

For my money, I seem to be finding a lot of variety within the puzzler format, as of late. Take for example, I Love Hue. This game, brought to us by Zut!, is about arranging blocks of colors into a particular spectrum. While players can check out the trailer to see what I mean, the idea behind the game is simple.
Let me start by saying I am not the biggest multiplayer gamer. My preference is for an excellent single-player campaign game. A lot of that has to do with how quickly can I get into a game, how long the games last, what type of game it is, and how easy the game is to play. I was intrigued by Chobolab’s Mayhem, so I signed up for the beta. Let me tell you that I am glad I did. Fast and frenetic action describe this enjoyable multiplayer game.

It’s Friday which means it is time once again for our end of the week Android game sale round-up. This week’s round-up is about half and half when it comes to new games being on the list, and repeats from last week. Some of the new titles making an appearance include both Doom & Destiny games, both Oddworld games, Auro, and more.
For those of you who own a Samsung Gear VR headset, or an Oculus Rift, there is a new game out that’s a mix of rhythm-based gameplay and arcade shooter called Starship Disco. Released by Brad Erkkila, It’s a Space Thing is a new casual space shooter for Android. The game is quite simple, in that players are looking to defeat their clone while in outer space. The player’s character will reside and move along the bottom of the screen, firing upwards, while the “evil twin” will reside along the top of the screen, firing downward.
Released by Pomelo Games, Mars: Mars is a new game about being part of the first people to land on and explore the red planet. Players will control a single character at a time (though who/what that character is, will change), with the goal being to move from one (small) platform to the next, using only a jetpack with a very small supply of fuel.
Bandai Namco has officially released their latest game onto mobile platforms called Fortress Legends. This particular game is a hybrid title, mixing real-time co-op multiplayer hack n’ slash gameplay with strategy and defense mechanics. So not only will you be building your own fortress, you will be invading other players’ fortresses as well.
