We reported back in September of last year that the developer behind the hit iOS and PC game Super Hexagon was considering making a port of his game for Android devices. Well Terry Cavanagh has confirmed that the Android port is coming soon for Android gamers to enjoy, except if you own a Nexus 7 tablet.

Gamevil has just released a new game onto Google Play called Asura Cross which is their take on the whole Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat genre. The rather interesting thing about this game is that when you are playing in Story Mode, you will be choosing how your character’s story unfolds instead of having a preset storyline to follow like you have in games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.
As if there aren’t already enough zombie games flying around on Google Play, you can now thank former NBA basketball star Shaquille O’Neal for adding one more game to that menacing list with ShaqDown. Developed by Hiptic Games, this is a game with a simple kind of design where you jump between three levels and take on hordes of zombies by throwing a basketball and unleashing a special power.
Welcome to the second installment of our Under The Radar column where we showcase a few good games that we may not have been able to publish as full articles on our website. Ultimately, with this, smaller developers get vital exposure for their games and you get to have more games to play on your plate. If you know of more quality games released recently that have not got the attention they deserve, let us know by leaving a comment below!
One of the more popular endless running games out of the plethora of titles that have arrived in this genre over the past 8 months is Subway Surfers by Kiloo Games. Well the crew at Kiloo Games have pushed out a new update which brings with it a bunch of new content to check out.
Naught, a nifty looking side-scroller by Blue Shadow Games will have you twisting your way through many different levels in the hopes of grabbing diamonds and seeds. The controls are relatively fun. You can choose to use the accelerometer or buttons on the screen to tilt the landscape, forcing your little black and white dude to move one way or the other. At first the controls feel clunky or poorly tuned. It took me a while to try out all three control styles — my favorite eventually becoming the on-screen pair of buttons — before I felt comfortable. It’s a neat mechanic but it’s essentially the same game we’ve seen before. You’ll recognize the gimmick pretty quickly, but not until after you’ve had some fun working through some different levels.
Under The Radar is a new column that we will be doing from time to time (it isn’t necessarily a weekly thing), the purpose of which is to showcase some good games that we may not have been able to publish as full articles on our website. Ultimately, smaller developers get vital exposure for their games and you get to have more games to play on your plate. Let us know if you know of any obscure new titles in the comments section!
Welcome to our new weekly feature where we allow you to vote for the best game that’s been released on Android for the past week. We will be highlighting a few of the best and highest profile games released, and you can make your selection from there. You’ll also find out the previous week’s winner as voted by you, our readers. So as the sun sets on another week of releases and as the year comes to a close, cast your vote and pick the best one.
SNK Playmore has put their classic Neo Geo games Metal Slug 3 on sale for a mere $1.99 and Blazing Star on sale for $0.99 which is $5 off of its regular price of $6.99 for Metal Slug 3 and a couple of dollars off Blazing Star‘s regular price. For those of you who used to play these games when you owned a Neo Geo but for some reason haven’t picked either of these up yet, now is a good time to snag a copy of either game.
It seems like today we have been talking about a lot of puzzle games whether they be hybrid titles like puzzle platformer or a straight up puzzle game. Cubles is an arcade puzzle game where you have to find and select blocks of the same color that are connected at the corners. While this is relatively easy at first, things get a lot more complicated when bombs and other hazards arrive.
