Zynga has an interesting and rather good looking game on the way that is a bit out of the box for them. This is due to Zynga buying out a game studio going by the name of November Software not too long ago which was basically a four-man studio. The game they were working on was probably what caught Zynga’s interest, mainly because Zynga deals mostly with social and casual games, not Action-RPG titles.

Subatomic Studios has announced that the sequel to their hit tower defense game Fieldrunners will finally be making its way to Android devices next month. One game we’ve been keeping tabs on happens to come from Asobimo called Avabel Online. For awhile now this game has been in an open beta form but only in Japanese with no other languages available. Even though anyone could download and play the game, unless you know Japanese, you wouldn’t be getting far. Now, however, Avabel Online has dropped the Japanese-only language beta and is now available in English as well.
If you’ve been following us for awhile now then you have probably seen us report on games being made by a company called Asobimo. One game we are currently waiting on for an English release, which should be coming soon actually, is Avabel Online. However, another game they have which just entered a new round of beta testing in Japan is Frontier Gunner.
Dungeon Quest is a new Loot-based Action-RPG released by Shinny Box Games. This is a Beta release and as such only includes one class, The Wizard. The Wizard will gain different spells from many of the items he loots and you will be able to customize the loot you earn by enchanting them with different attributes.
You might recognize the name Asobimo and that could very well be because we’ve talked about this company and some of their games in the past such as Celes Arca and Iruna Online, both of which are MMORPGs for mobile. Their newest game that is currently in a limited open beta phase right now is called Avabel Online and is also a rather impressive looking cross-platform MMORPG.
In terms of hybrid games that mesh together two or more different game genres into one title, Growtopia has to be one of the more stranger hybrid games when you initially think about it. The developers describe Growtopia as an experimental multiplayer sandbox platformer with crafting which just sounds really confusing at first.
On Steam for PC, Beat Hazard has become one of the best Indie games, and now you can try the Android beta version before it hits the Play store. There are plenty of “bullet hell” shooters on Android, but Beat Hazard Ultra takes it to another level. You can pick your own music track to play while in game, and this then influences the difficulty of the level.
One of the games I’ve been spending a lot of time on lately is Shadowgun: DeadZone. Well, for now it is a public beta, but even then the game is very much playable with no bugs of note. The developers – Madfinger Games – are however adding in new features and optimizing performance with frequent updates.
The multiplayer version of Shadowgun from Madfinger Games has arrived in Public Beta form on Google Play moments ago. Having been in closed beta for a short time, the public beta is now available for anyone who owns a Tegra 3 Android device for right now. This public beta will last a week before opening up for more people to join.
