The concept of a game where you grow a digital potted plant may seem a bit dry at first but Viridi seems to have some sort of strange quality about it already that will probably draw a lot of people in to play it. So it is getting close to about the time when we should see another major release hit Minecraft: Pocket Edition, especially since MineCon 2015 is on the horizon. [Update: New Games Added] The new Humble Mobile Bundle is live and features the Cartoon Network
The newest Humble Mobile Bundle is live and this time it is featuring nothing but Cartoon Network titles in a three tier system again. The three tier system is basically the same thing as the normal Humble Bundles we usually have but with an additional tier added to it with even more games you can get for a single price.
There is a lot of talk lately that Rovio is having a less then stellar time right now with revenue. Many sites including ours have reported on it and it is basically due to the fact that you can only do so much with a franchise like Angry Birds before it gets tired and old. The company has relied so heavily on that franchise that it is now seeing less money than it has in some time. Of course they are still making a lot of money, just not as much as they used to make.

The Frogger inspired game Crossy Road has been out on mobile devices for 20 days and in that short period of time the game has managed to make some pretty impressive numbers. Because of the numbers Crossy Road is producing, there are plenty of spin-offs and similar games out now as people try to ride the momentum Crossy Road has created. Even with all of that, Crossy Road has broken the 10 million downloads mark and did it within 20 days of being released.
Way back in December 2012 we reported on a game called Castaway Paradise from Stolen Couch Games and that the game would be arriving onto Android in 2013. Well it is now 2015 and Castaway Paradise has finally seen the light as a global launch with the game appearing on Amazon’s Appstore earlier this month. In fact the release was so quiet that if it wasn’t for a tip we received this morning, we still wouldn’t have known that this game was even out.
Gameloft will be releasing a bit more of a casual puzzle game later this week called Puzzle Pets. This particular game is a match-3 puzzler with ridiculously cute graphics and oddly shaped levels to add to the challenge of matching three or more of the same cute animal head in a row.
It looks like Frogger-style games are the next big thing and you can thank the success of Crossy Roads for that one. There have been a lot of spin-offs of Crossy Roads to come out since the game’s release, most of which emulate the game’s look and style which basically makes them more of a knock-off than anything else. However there are a few out there that don’t do this and one of those is a game called Road Madman.
Yahtzy has been around for a very long time but a digital version of the dice-based game as made the jump to Android and you won’t be playing against AI opponents either. Instead you will be playing against other people thanks to the inclusion of online multiplayer.
