Harebrained Schemes have finally launched Shadowrun Returns onto PC via Steam as of yesterday and while this probably made a lot of people happy there is on question that remains – Where is the tablet version of the game promised in the Kickstarter campaign? As you’ve probably noticed, it isn’t available for Android and iOS tablet users yet. Well last week a new trailer was released for Shadowrun Returns and that is where something quietly happened, the release information changed.

More news coming out from Nvidia during SIGGRAPH 2013 but this time instead of it being hardware related with showing off their upcoming Kepler GPU along with Project Logan which, when their forces are combined, create Voltron… I mean Tegra 5. This bit of news is in regards to software being shown off running on the Kepler GPU and it isn’t some little game engine or anything like that.
While the SIGGRAPH conference has gotten underway this week, Nvidia has finally begun showing off some future goodies that up until now we have only heard about. If you follow us on a regular basis then you already have probably read here that Nvidia’s Kepler GPU will be making its way to Android devices soon. You will also probably be aware that the next chipset after Tegra 4 is codenamed Project Logan, or just Logan for those of you wanting to feel a bit more personal with Nvidia’s next chipset already.
GREE and Marvel have partnered together and are going to be releasing a comic book tie-in game called X-Men: Battle of the Atom. Marvel has a cross-over comic book event that will be happening soon and this game will be tied into it when the event starts. The overall storyline behind everything, without spoiling it, has to do with the history of the X-Men and players will be experiencing 50 years of mutant X-Men history and beyond.
Back near the beginning of this month Writers’ Film Group Corp went ahead and bought Amiga Games Inc, a company that republishes classic Amiga games onto new platforms such as smartphones and tablets. Writers’ Film Group Corp is a company that specializes in a few things but one of their main focuses is digital content distribution so picking up Amiga Games Inc is something that makes sense since they were wanting to expanding in to the mobile gaming markets.
Games Workshop is a company known for a few big franchises that have been around for awhile and have graced a variety of platforms including physical games. We now have some of their games making the journey to mobile as well with one of the most recent titles to come from the Games Workshop catalog being Talisman Prologue. Well you can look forward to another board game coming your way soon called Chainsaw Warrior.
Gameloft has a new movie spin-off game based off of the upcoming Thor movie and have begun teasing its upcoming release with a new teaser trailer. Ironically, while most teaser trailers never show any gameplay of the title they happen to be teasing, this new teaser trailer from Gameloft actually shows quite a bit of the gameplay.
Halfbrick is already well known for their rather popular games Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. Well the company has been working on a new title and have finally decided to actually begin teasing everyone as to what it will be. Officially called Colossatron: Massive World Threat, this game has nothing to do with fruit, ninjas or jetpacks. It does have to do with a massive robotic snake though.
The rather popular TV series Firefly will be getting its own official mobile game next year. While PC gamers ‘may’ get the game as well, mobile gamers are the target audience for the Firefly Online mobile game which will be a full online multiplayer title based off of the TV show. The two studios in charge for this game are QMx and Spark Plug Games.
Right now there is a newly released PC-based MMORPG going by the name of Age of Wushu which has gotten quite a good following so far. In fact the game will be getting its own feature film based off of it and now the company behind Age of Wushu has also mentioned that the game will be expanding onto other platforms, specifically mobile devices.
