Mode 7, who are the developers or the cult favorite shooter Frozen Snyapse, has announced out of nowhere that an Android version of their popular game will be heading to Android soon. While the original announcement was to let iOS gamers know that the game would be coming to iTunes soon, the tweet containing the announcement also mentioned that Android tablet gamers would be getting a version of their own as well.

It looks like Square Enix has more than just a few Final Fantasy titles heading to Android in the near future. A new teaser site has been put up for another one of Square Enix’s franchises and this time it is for the Circle of Mana. However, it may not be in the form that you might be hoping it would be in.
A new horror survival game wrapped up in 8-bit retro graphic goodness called Catequesis will be heading to Android and iOS this upcoming Fall. Developed by a little indie group of game developers Survival Horror Story: Catequesis, as the game is officially called, is about meeting your girlfriend’s parents but as you may be guessing, it isn’t a pleasant experience at all.
The Mario inspired platformer called The Other Brothers has been a game in the works for some time now, being slated for release onto iOS this week while the Android version is supposed to arrive at some point in the near future. While the game is inspired by the plumber brothers of the Nintendo generation the art is vastly different, featuring a more retro pixel art style to it.
Not too long ago we talked about OrangePixel who happen to be working on their new title that was a throwback to one of the more popular arcade games from back in the day called Gauntlet. This arcade game featured up to four players who would basically dungeon crawl through as many levels as they could before dieing enough times and ending the game.
Back in the beginning of February we talked about Kabam who will be teaming up with NBC Universal for the next Fast and the Furious game which will be heading out way soon. The movie is slated to hit theaters on May 26th, 2013 and this new game is also slated for release sometime in May 2013, most likely around a week before the movie hits theaters.
There are plenty of emulators already available for Android gamers to use when looking to play some of your more old school favorites. Pretty much a majority of the consoles and computer systems already have at least one emulator available for people to use. Well you can add another one to the list and that is the VICE Commodore VIC-20 emulator which has just been launched as an Alpha stage build.
For those of you who have been fans of the perverted little man known as Leisure Suit Larry over the past couple of decades and who have been looking forward to the upcoming Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards HD remake, it looks like the wait may finally be drawing closer to an end. Originally slated for release in 2012 after a rather successful Kickstarter campaign, the game’s release was eventually delayed until 2013.
