Indie developers who are working on their games and want to have their next title available on Playstation platforms have a little bit more flexibility now as Sony will allow for game to be sold to customers even if the title is in an Alpha stage of development. Normally buying into a game that is in an alpha stage wouldn’t be something people would normally want to do, say 10 years ago or even 7 years ago, but now it’s a more widely accepted practice, especially after the success of Minecraft.

Gameloft’s UK Twitter account posted a pretty interesting picture on their account along with the phrase “Warming up main core..” accompanying the picture. The picture itself simply shows to electric blow eyes glowing in a black background and unless you’ve been under a rock for the past few years then you’ll probably instantly recognize the eyes as those that belong to Iron Man.
GDC 2013 has just started and Qualcomm has announced that the company has teamed up with Unity, the makers of the Unity3D engine, in a development partnership which brings to the table better optimization for Qualcomm Snapdragon-based devices for developers when making their games using the Unity3D engine.
OUYA is nearing its official launch date, at least for backers of the rather successful Kickstarter campaign it had, with units slated to ship out on March 28th, 2013 to those who backed the appropriate level to receive an early unit. It appears that plenty of emulators are being worked on for the Android-powered console, most of which are Nintendo-based emulators.
Things are going strong over at PAX East 2013 and Gameloft is showcasing the next addition to the Dungeon Hunter series, appropriately named Dungeon Hunter 4, and now we have some additional details regarding the game that have come out during PAX East. Battle arenas are still in the game but are not the main focal point in this new game.
PAX East 2013 began just over an hour ago or so ago and one of the first major press events was Blizzard’s where they announced their new game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. While it will be available for PC and Mac of course, this title becomes their first mobile available game but if you followed the event then you probably know where we are going with this already. Unfortunately the only mobile platform that is being supported, at least for now, is the iPad.
Wizards of the Coast have announced the next installment to their mobile Magic the Gathering series of games. The new game, called Magic 2014: Duels of the Planeswalkers is slated to be released not just on iOS this time but onto Android as well. This marks the first time an official Magic the Gathering game will be arriving for Android gamers to play.
Seantron, who developed the hamster destruction filled game Hamsteria and the recently released Tweets of the Dead game, has just released a preview video of his next game called KidElectro. This particular game is actually a pretty interesting looking 3D flying arcade type of title that will be coming to OUYA and Android when it is finished.
While one game a lot of people have been waiting for has finally arrived today from Crescent Moon Games, another one looks to be heading our way rather quickly as well. We’ve talked about Robert Bowling’s upcoming tactical strategy game Breach & Clear a couple of times already. Well a set of screenshots have now been made available giving us a much better look at the ex-Infinity Ward creative strategist’s upcoming title which is being developed by Mighty Rabbit.
A couple of new additions to some current franchises have been announced. Infinite Dreams have officially announced that Can Knockdown 3 is under development and will be heading our way fairly soon. Game Insight also announced a new addition to their My Country franchise with 2020: My Country.
