Electronic Arts releases Theme Park, build that theme park you always wanted

Electronic Arts has released a new game onto the Google Play store and with all the Halloween news, whether it is a full Halloween themed game released or just an update, this game actually has nothing to do with scaring the the hell out of yourself or other people, at least when it comes to wearing costumes. You can still scare the hell out of people, albeit Sim people, in their new game Theme Park.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted gets a great new live action trailer and a release date

One of the more anticipated racing games heading to Android soon is Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed: Most Wanted. This will be the newest addition to the series and Electronic Arts has already teased us with a couple of trailers that show in-game footage. Well now we have a live action trailer, which is rather funny, where we get to see a bunch of cars we wish we could afford to buy or at least drive. Along with that though we now have a more solid release date for when Need for Speed: Most Wanted will be arriving.

Electronic Arts begins teasing Need for Speed: Most Wanted with a trailer

Electronic Arts, and their sub-studio called Firemonkeys, have taken a break with teasing everyone with the next installment of the Real Racing series to instead tease everyone about the upcoming new installment into the Need for Speed series that will be heading to Android and iOS soon. We’ve talked about this game in the recent past but now we get to take a look at some actual gameplay footage for Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

Tetris now being offered up for free on the Amazon AppStore

The classic puzzle game that seems to somehow manage to survive after all this time, Tetris, is now available on the Amazon AppStore for free for today only as Amazon’s free app of the day. While we are pretty sure everyone on the planet knows what Tetris is, and probably owns a copy of the game in one form or another, if you happen to have access to the Amazon AppStore, you can grab a copy of it today for free.

Electronic Arts comes out as first major publisher on board for PlayMG’s handheld gaming device

Last month we reported on a Kickstarter project started by a new company called PlayMG who are trying to get additional funding for the ‘first’ dedicated Android-based handheld gaming system which is geared towards more casual and freemium / free-to-play titles. Since it is geared towards these types of games, the hardware for the PlayMG was a bit on the lower end of the spectrum.

EA is basically dropping the idea of single-player games, goes for interconnected games instead

Electronic Arts have been speaking a lot over the past few days about their stance in the gaming industry in general, talking about how they are saving any new IPs for when the next-gen consoles are released and that they won’t be making the same mistakes next year as they did this year. Now word has come out that they have completely dropped the notion of single-player games and are now, instead, focusing solely on multiplayer games and interconnection between platforms, something we have seen slowly making its way onto their mobile games lately.
