So as we mentioned yesterday over our social medial channels, we just received one of the first Android powered MOJO game consoles sent out for review by Mad Catz. As we also stated, we were going to do an unboxing so you can all see what you can expect to find when you open up the packaging for the MOJO game console.

Last week we reported on Ouya teasing a new limited edition white version of their Android-powered game console. Ouya has decided to release today a limited edition version of their Android-powered console for the holiday season. This new version of their console isn’t the upcoming Ouya 2 or anything like that. Instead it is a white version of the original but it isn’t just merely an aesthetic change that the console has received in this new holiday edition.
Ouya said, back before the console launched, that their Android-powered console would see new versions of it being released with updated hardware on a regular basis. The company did warn everyone that this would basically mean that a new console would be released every year or pretty much every year as long as their is a substantial upgrade in hardware to do.

Ouya has pumped out a new firmware update that addresses a few issues that had come up regarding a few different problems that would cause the system to crash. While this was one main focus for the update another was just improving the overall discoverability of games on the Android-powered game console.
[Gamescom 2013] Bluestack brings more game developers on board for their upcoming GamePop console
We’ve reported on Bluestacks and their upcoming Android-powered game console called GamePop in the past and now during Gamescom 2013 after a brief period of silence, Bluestacks has announced that they have signed on even more game developers to supply games for their console system.
Ouya had released a new commercial video on their YouTube account which got pulled from their YouTube account rather quickly. We aren’t sure if Ouya pulled it themselves or what happened, although we think that is indeed the case, the video has already been hosted on another user’s account for the rest of the world to watch still and wonder what in the hell Ouya was thinking with this commercial.
We’ve talked about the open source media player XBMC and that it would be making its way to the Android-powered game console Ouya at some point when a stable version of the application actually exists. Well it seems that a stable version has finally been compiled and the XBMC media player is now officially available for download through Ouya’s marketplace.

This is one of the few companies to begin making custom skins for Android consoles, with Mod Junkiez announcing their custom Ouya controller skins back in June of this year.
