Nvidia held their big press event at GDC 2015 and the company had been hinting at a big announcement, stating it was five years in the making. Everyone had their guesses as to what this would be, with a lot of people pointing to VR as being the announcement. We actually guessed it would be a console in a previous article. When the event began, the CEO of Nvidia Jen-Hsun Huang, came out and told everyone right away that he had three things to announce: a new revolutionary TV, a new super computer, and a new console. Turns out, it wasn’t three devices, it was just one.

The physics-based puzzle game Polarity has gotten a sequel released on the Ouya console called Polaroty: Partners in Crime. As the title suggests, this new sequel has a multiplayer theme to it, offering up both co-op and competitive split screen multiplay for gamers to partake in.
Snail Games isn’t just showing off two new Android phones at this year’s CES but they are also showing off their Android-based game console called the OBox. Razer, the gaming company that makes specialized hardware, like gaming specific laptops or related accessories like backlit keyboards and ambidextrous mice, is venturing into the realm of Android TV by announcing their plans to to release what they call a “micro-console”.
OnLive hasn’t been in the news lately after the cloud-based game streaming company had all the financial troubles one could ever possibly not want. It seems that things might be picking up a bit for OnLive though as Mad Catz has announced the availability and optimization for OnLive for the Android-powered console of theirs called the MOJO.
There are plenty of Android-powered game consoles already out for consumers to get their hands on and another one up on Kickstarter called Equiso Play. This new one definitely has the potential to be a great product from what we’ve seen of it already.
We were one of the first sites to receive a Mad Catz Android-powered MOJO game console and since we received it we have been working on a review for this console, tossing everything at it that we could. Ouya has been busy these days it seems, first with the limited white edition Ouya release, then the double storage black Ouya edition and now we have pre-orders available for colored faceplates for the Ouya controller.
Ouya teased not too long ago that it would be releasing an improved version of their original Android-powered game console in the near future. This is not the Ouya 2 or any sort of next-gen version of the console but just an enhanced version of the original with some improvement to storage space, the controller and other features.
