In terms of hybrid games that mesh together two or more different game genres into one title, Growtopia has to be one of the more stranger hybrid games when you initially think about it. The developers describe Growtopia as an experimental multiplayer sandbox platformer with crafting which just sounds really confusing at first.

After an explosive season finale to Walking Dead: The Game, Telltale Game’s point and click survival adventure garnered numerous “Game of the Year” from online gaming publications and gamers alike (and my personal favorite of the year). After debuting on major gaming consoles, Xbox, PS3 and the PC, the game also saw simultaneous release on the iPad. It’s use of slow paced gameplay and narrative focus translated well for touch gaming. However if you’re wishing to experience this excellent post zombie apocalypse on those shiny Nexus tablets, don’t bother holding your breath.
Ok, so yesterday we brought you exclusive news of the first known Tegra 4 game called Codex the Warrior. The Tegra 4 chipset should be announced soon, and probably we’d see a boatload of titles announced just for that platform during next week’s CES.
It is no secret now that the Tegra 4 chipset will be revealed during CES 2013 which is about a week away. We will be there at CES 2013 covering everything gaming related from hardware to upcoming games and it looks like we have just found the first game that will be targeting the upcoming Tegra 4 devices next year, meet Codex The Warrior.

Madfinger Games has begun teasing… something… that will apparently be revealed on January 6th, 2012, a couple of days before CES 2013 officially gets under way. While the teaser image leaves a lot to be desired in terms of revealing anything at all as to what this could be, there are plenty of guesses we can make.
One of the more popular endless running games out of the plethora of titles that have arrived in this genre over the past 8 months is Subway Surfers by Kiloo Games. Well the crew at Kiloo Games have pushed out a new update which brings with it a bunch of new content to check out.
A rather interesting game has been released onto Google Play today from MMz Tech called Pixel Quest RPG. What makes this game fairly unique and interesting is the concept for it which is essentially a combination of old school RPGs (think Final Fantasy) with TCG style mechanics and the sandbox style of games like Minecraft where you can craft and build items.
A new match-3 RPG has landed on Android called Djorick’s Curse from Keener Apps. As you may be expecting, this is a full match-3 RPG title where matching three or more of the same symbol allows you to attack, heal, repair or collect gold when you are taking on various enemies.
A new rogue-like dungeon crawler has arrived for Android called Dungelot. Developed by Red Winter Software, this rather unique style of dungeon crawler has players flipping over tiles as they search for the key which will allow them to escape the level they are currently on safely. As you flip tiles, you’ll also reveal either loot or monsters you will need to fight.
