Google has officially announced and begun rolling out the new design for the Google Play store application staring right now. Android phones and tablets running Android 2.2 or higher will at some point over the next week or so be receiving the new layout which, we must admit, looks pretty damn nice. Then again each new design iteration of the Google Play application has been a step in the right direction for the most part.

For everyone who has waited patiently for Crescent Moon Games to release their newest 3D RPG Ravensword: Shadowlands, you’ll be happy to know that the wait is almost over. Crescent Moon Games’ Josh Presseisen announced over Twitter that Ravensword: Shadowlands would be landing on Google Play this Thursday.
It has been one year since the Android Market officially changed names to the current Google Play label we are using now. To celebrate the new official name turning one year old, Google has teamed up with a variety of developers to offer up a bunch of apps, movies, books and other goodies on sale as well as a bunch of free apps and games also.

If you are like me, you like to search the Play market for new games. I get no bigger thrill than when I find a neat little game to review or to kill a few hours with, but coming across those games can be harder than it seems. What do you do when you have no idea where to start?
