Originally announced back during CES 2015, Snail Games unveiled two gaming focused Android devices during that show, the OBox Android game console and the W3D Android gaming phone. We went hands-on with both of those and found that both were quite good for gaming. Today it appears the wait is finally over as Snail Games has announced that pre-orders are now available for the W3D.

Nod Labs made headlines recently when the company secured $13.5 million in funding in order to continue developing, manufacturing, and eventually selling their Backspin controller. The reason for the interest in this peripheral is due to it not only being for VR headsets, mainly the Oculus Rift but any will work, but also due to its size, making it very portable, and so it can be used with Android devices.
If appears that Razer is looking to bolster the sales of their Android set-top box / micro-console called the Forge TV as it has now appeared on Google’s Store for devices. We got to go hands-on with this set-top box back during GDC this year and with the short amount of time we had with it, it was a decent little box to play with.
So far we have had some decent support regarding Virtual Reality and Android devices announced. Initially Oculus Rift announced Android support before Facebook bought them out, that hasn’t changed as far as we know. HTC and Valve are working on the HTC Re Vive VR headset which no doubt will get Android support if it doesn’t have it already. Now Razer has announced that their open Virtual Reality platform, called OSVR, will come with compatibility for Android devices.
When Apple finally opened up iOS enough for peripheral manufacturers to make controllers and other devices for the iPhone and iPad, SteelSeries was one of the first companies to announces and release a new controller for iOS gamers to finally get to use. Called the Stratus XL, this controller went on to get a lot of great reviews, being one of the best controllers for iOS. Not like they have a lot of them mind you. Android, on the other hand, has plenty of controllers designed specifically for Android devices including ones from SteelSeries, which we actually have used on a fairly regular basis and reported on back during CES 2013.
Well E3 2015 has barely started and already there have been some very good announcements for mobile gamers already, with Torchlight Mobile being announced last week still being one of the top 3 game announcements for mobile, and the week is barely underway! So everything is looking very promising for us mobile gamers. However, there have been some surprising announcements already as well, and one of those is that it appears that Razer has officially purchased Ouya.
Nvidia is pushing out a new update for their Shield Android TV console which brings with it a lot of requested enhancements, fixes, and upgrades to various aspects of their OS and software. Depending on what you use your Shield console for, this update is a much welcomed improvement overall.
Oculus Rift held their Pre-E3 press event moments ago, officially announcing the Oculus Rift as an official commercial product. Along with this announcement were some other surprising announcements made on stage, including the fact that the Oculus Rift headset will come bundled with an Xbox One controller and adapter, as well as working natively with Windows 10 and allowing for Xbox One game streaming to the headset.
Oculus Rift is hosting their E3 2015 press event a bit early, since E3 doesn’t start until next week. The event will introduce the Oculus Rifts’ new branding/logo as well as a website with a countdown clock, most likely counting down till the commercial release of the Oculus Rift, something a lot of people have been waiting for.

Snail Games has revealed their entire E3 2015 line-up today alongside their earlier announcement regarding their upcoming Age of Wushu Dynasty game for mobile devices. So what will Snail Games be showing off at this massive video game industry event?
