Gameloft has decided to go green today and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but giving all us Android gamers a chance to win free Android HD games and possibly even a Galaxy Tablet! Great news right? Well not totally and here is why. This giveaway is only open to people in the UK so unless you spoof your carrier, you can’t win.
New life given to one of Android’s oldest games, Robo Defense. Now available in a limited beta HD version.
Robo Defense has been around for a ridiculous amount of time on the Android Market. In fact it was one of the first games I ever played when I got my G1 back when Android first came out. It’s been sitting as the #1 paid game for almost as long and now Lupis Labs Software has gone and made an HD version of the game.
Publisher/developer Hyperbees have been busy little bees it seems. Guess that is why they are called Hyperbees. Bad jokes aside, it seems they are doing a very good job of expanding their line-up of games as another developer has signed on with them. Just announced was the signing of GyLgames onto the Hyperbees family.
The other day we reported on a few games by Gameloft heading our way that happen to be leaking out on their store. By leaking we mean the purchase pages were up but you couldn’t actually purchase the game. Well Gameloft just announced on Twitter that Gangstar: Miami Vindication is now available for purchase.
Well why not round out the Gameloft news with a triple play shall we? It seems as though Gangstar: Miami Vindication HD isn’t the only game being leaked onto the site right before its official release. Seems Guitar Rock Tour 2 HD has also shown up on Gameloft’s storefront but instead of Argentina, this is in the UK.
The sequel to Ganstar: West Coast Hustle seems to be doing the “Lets leak the product page in a far away country” type of thing Gameloft just loves to do right before the game is actually released. Gangstar: Miami Vindication HD is currently available in Argentina for purchase. Of course we can expect the usual pattern from Gameloft.
One of the more awesome Android phones at CES 2011 was the Optimus 2X from LG who came out strong this year at the show. This is LG’s first dual-core Android phone sporting a Tegra 2 chip inside and playing around with it, you can certainly see/feel the difference a Tager 2 makes in your phone.
Like the title says, in case you don’t do enough work at your actual job or just feel the need to do more, Cargo! HD for Android is now available for your to download. Cargo! HD is a neat little Traffic Control type of game but without the traffic. Instead you have workers that you need to tell what to do and products to ship for profit.
Gameloft is officially releasing two new games today but we already knew they were coming thanks to some previous leaks on the Gameloft site as well as a tip for our resident Gameloft tipster Dave Loft. GT Racing Motor Academy HD and Real Soccer 2011 HD are now both ‘officially’ available for select Android devices.
