For those of you participating in the beta testing group for Minecraft: Pocket Edition, there is a new version available for download today. This update, which is tagged as version 0.11.0 beta 6, comes with two new features and a bunch of bug fixes. Are there skin packs yet? No would be the answer to that question. However, you will want to update your copy of MCPE beta anyways.

For those of you that are a part of the Minecraft: Pocket Edition public beta testing group, there is some good news for you today as the first beta for version 0.11.0 has been uploaded onto Google Play this morning. For those of you who missed our previous coverage as to what will be arriving with version 0.11.0, there are some pretty cool features we’ve been wanting to show up that are finally, hopefully, going to make the cut for the official release of 0.11.0.
We’ve been following the development of PocketMine since it was created, even using it in our own Minecraft: Pocket Edition server. It has come a long way since its inception, now having a plug-in library, mod tools and all sorts of other goodies. There was regular communication between Mojang developers and Shoghi Cervantes, the developer behind PocketMine, on Twitter quite often. So it should be as no surprise that Mojang has finally brought Shogi on board.
Fun Friday Valentine’s Day Edition: Speed Dating Gamer Edition, Heroes of the Storm Love Bug, and Minecraft Valentine’s Day Box
Welcome to another addition of our Fun Friday series where we take a look at funny and cool things in the video game industry we’ve stumbled across during the past week while we work. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, that corner being tomorrow, we figured a couple of Valentine’s Day related items might be a good idea. So, as always, sit back, relax and enjoy.
So it is getting close to about the time when we should see another major release hit Minecraft: Pocket Edition, especially since MineCon 2015 is on the horizon. There have been plenty of details released as to what we can all expect to see when this next major release, version 0.11, arrives for Android.
Once again it is time for another installment into our Fun Fridays series and this week we have some pretty cool video game related things to check out like always. This week we have everything from a life-size Pac-Man game to a tiny Minecraft: Pocket Edition themed stylus and some cool things in between. So sit back, drink some morning coffee, and check out these cool video gaming related things.
Mojang will be hosting a public Q&A session on their TwitchTV channel later this week regarding Minecraft: Pocket Edition which means that this will be an excellent opportunity to ask the questions you may have regarding the game, or what is coming in the future, directly to the developers themselves.
Microsoft has announced, and put into place, a formal new policy regarding the creation of YouTube Let’s Play videos as well as content streamed on services like TwitchTV. Up until now the company didn’t really have a formal policy geared towards this type of content creation. Since streaming on TwitchTV has become a lot easier with Android games and making YouTube videos of Android games has been happening for a long time, this certainly is something to learn about if you plan on streaming or including anything from Microsoft in your upcoming videos and want to monetize them.
TellTale Games has been doing a stellar job bringing some big franchises to the gaming world as adventure games and today the has announced what the next one will be and it is a pretty big surprising. TellTale Games will be partnering up with Mojang to bring us Minecraft Story Mode.
It appears that one of the next big features to be heading to Minecraft: Pocket Edition will be potions or at least potion effects. The interesting part about all of this is the fact that even though potion effects were teased in a picture, it was also stated that as of right now no potions are actually in the pipeline because that requires the Nether.
