GDc is a great event to sit down with developers of all sizes to talk about current and future titles heading to our world of mobile gaming on Android. We got to sit down with Com2uS this year to take a look at what is on the way in the near future as well as what we can expect to see 6-8 months down the road.
The upcoming MMORPG we reported on back in the beginning of February 2015 now has a new video that is essentially a bit of an interview/introduction to the developers behind the game. Also happening right now is a location-specific open beta testing phase. This means that even though it is an open beta, you do have to live in the regions that are specified in order to participate in it.
We had a chance to talk with the folks over at Roblox during GDC 2015 about their Android app and if you use Roblox on your Android device then there is some good news for you. The entire application will be getting overhauled in terms of functionality and especially with regards to the user interface for the app.
One game that has a lot of people’s interest and that we’ve been following its journey to Android is Snail Games’ upcoming Acton-RPG title called Taichi Panda. Originally announced before CES 2015, we ended up playing around with an early version of the game for a few minutes during CES 2015. Since then the game has been under development, getting everything polished and, eventually, having been released onto iOS now. So where is the Android version?
So far Hearthstone has received one adventure-style update based around Naxxramas from World of Warcraft called the Curse of Naxxramas. Now there is a second one coming our way soon and this time it is based off of Blackrock Mountain. In fact the name of this adventure update is exactly that, Blackrock Mountain.
The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild is the indie developer that previously made The Bridge, a black and white puzzle game. This time around they are back for another puzzle game, one of a more colorful variety, titled Tumblestone.
A rather interesting looking game that is currently available on iOS only is soon to be arriving onto Android as well next month. This game is called Outwitters and it is a turn-based strategy game that will come with cross-platform multiplayer with iOS players when the Android version arrives. Apparently, in the process of making this Android version, the developers ended up rebuilding the entire game from the ground up.
Gameloft has released a new game onto Android today called Age of Sparta which is interested because it doesn’t appear to have as much hype behind it coming from Gameloft like they usually do with new games coming out. This particular game is a city building style of strategy game.
Nvidia has announced that they will be hosting an official Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft Pro/Am international tournament which also has free registration, a $25,000 prize pool, and Nvidia Shield Tablets up for grabs. Spacetime Studios recently made news with the announcement that the company would be dropping development of some of their titles in their catalog of games. While these games will be remaining active, they just won’t be receiving updates with new content. In the original announcement regarding all of this, Spacetime Studios hinted at a new game that is on the horizon and today we finally get to talk about it. This new game is named Call of Champions and it is a MOBA but it isn’t your typical MOBA type of game.
