Today is the day of betas starting. For some reason multiple companies have decided to start closed beta testing today, all at the same time. This is pretty awesome if you enjoy digging around betas, finding and reporting bugs, or just like being in betas so you can learn about a game before it launches in order to have an edge against everyone else. Regardless of the reasoning, betas are fun and one of the games starting their beta today is Fantasy War Tactics from Nexon Korea.

Nexon Korea announces another mobile title coming our way soon called Fantasy War Tactics. Beta sign-ups are now live.
Nexon seems to be on a bit of a roll lately with mobile game announcements and releases. So far in the last month or so Nexon has announced a partnership with Square Enix for a new Final Fantasy game called Final Fantasy Grandmasters, and held a closed beta for their upcoming TCG title called Mabinogi Duel which was actually pretty decent. More recently they also teamed up with Big Huge Games for the release of DomiNations. So the company has been pretty busy in the mobile game realm.
Big Huge Games has teamed up with Nexom M, the mobile division of Nexon, to release a new strategy game onto Android today called DomiNations. This particular strategy game takes inspiration from other titles out there in the world of video games like Civilization 2, which makes a lot of sense since the team begin DomiNations includes Brian Reynolds who is a Strategy game veteran and a designer of Civilization 2 and Rise of Nations. This game has been in a soft launch for awhile now, today marks the full release of DomiNations.
[Update: Beta Started] Nexon Korea announces the worldwide release is coming soon for Mabinogi Duel on mobile, closed beta sign-ups are live
Nexon has a few games available on Android already but now their Korean office, which is in charge of their PC titles such as Mabinogi, Combat Arms, and Vindictus, has announced that they will be going globally for the first time with a new game called Mabinogi Duel which is obviously based off of their Mabinogi franchise. Along with this announcement also comes beta sign-ups going live.
If Nintendo teaming up with DeNA to bring their IPs to mobile deices wasn’t hell freezing over then perhaps today’s news about Square Enix and Nexon will manage to pull that off. After Square Enix announced that no more major Final Fantasy games would be coming to mobile after Final Fantasy VI, due to a lot of reasons, today Nexon and Square Enix have announced that they are teaming up to bring Final Fantasy XI to mobile devices. What is even crazier is that we already have confirmation of a Western release, so it won’t be Japan only.
Nexon M, otherwise known as Nexon Mobile, have released a second game this week called Legion of Heroes. We originally reported on this game coming to Android back in July of this year and since then Legion of Heroes has been under the final stages of development and testing until today. This is much different than their release yesterday of Base Busters, mainly because this game is an MMORPG.
Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games are all the rage these days. It’s nice though to be able to take part in an epic fantasy quest from the comfort of your couch as opposed to sitting at your PC. Nexon M’s game will allow you to do just that later this summer. Their most recent project, Legion of Heroes is a PC quality MMORPG for your mobile devices.
In an interesting partnership between MMO giant Nexon and Capcom, both companies are working to bring Street Fighter IV Arena to Android. This will be the first exclusively mobile Street Fighter title in the franchise. In fact the game has come along quite nicely as it is already in beta testing phase over in Korea.
Nexon has finally brought a version of their rather popular racing game KartRider to Android. While this isn’t the original version of the game, KartRider Coin Rush does bring most of the gameplay found in the original title along with some extra features and slight changes to the gameplay.
Nexon has announced that they have thrown some cash at Robotoki in the form of a ‘strategic investment’. For those of you who have been following us for awhile now, you might remember us talking about the former Creative Strategist of the Call of Duty Robert Bowling’s new game development studio and their upcoming game for Android and OUYA called Human Element.
