A new puzzle game has arrived onto Google Play and if you are a fan of Rubik’s Cube then you’ll probably dig Time Cube 3D. The best way to explain this game is that it is basically a sort of inverted Rubik’s Cube that you’ll need to figure out. Just to make things a bit more challenging though, you have a set time limit to figure it all out.
The classic puzzle game that seems to somehow manage to survive after all this time, Tetris, is now available on the Amazon AppStore for free for today only as Amazon’s free app of the day. While we are pretty sure everyone on the planet knows what Tetris is, and probably owns a copy of the game in one form or another, if you happen to have access to the Amazon AppStore, you can grab a copy of it today for free.
It was only back in June of this year when Devolver Digital released To-Fu: The Trials of Chi onto Google Play. The rather unique puzzle platformer has since done quite well for itself, most likely to the unique style of gameplay that it comes with. Well Devolver Digital has now released a second part in the series, appropriately named To-Fu 2, bringing with it more elastic To-Fu flinging goodness with it.
Kiz Studios and their rather great looking adventure game called Critter Escape have managed to escape from only being on Amazon’s AppStore and is now available on Google Play. In this game, you will be trying to escape a laboratory where tests of a not-so-nice nature have been taking place on you and other creatures. Congratulations, you’re a mud mutant now.
Mojo Bones have finally completed work on their second titles for Android called The Curse, a game we talked about back in February of this year which looked very promising. The developers of the rather entertaining game Tongue Tied! have done a pretty good job with their new title The Curse, a game filled with a variety of different puzzle for you to try and complete.
A new word search game has arrived on Android recently that is actually already rather popular on iOS called Hooked on Words. Developed by Plasmaworks LLC, this new word search game has some different features added to it that gives it a bit of a different feel over similar titles.
I recently sat down with another adventure game, this time Aidem Media’s City of Secrets, fully expecting to find a similar experience to other point-and-click titles from earlier reviews. There are many similar designs and ideas between all adventure games but the unique setting and charming characters in City of Secrets help to set it apart from the pack. We are all familiar with clicking and moving our characters, reading or listening to sometimes massive piles of text, fumbling our way through sometimes great and often horrible puzzles and scratching our heads when an obvious (in hindsight) solution isn’t so obvious. The adventure genre is as filled with repeats and bland designs as any other, but City of Secrets puts out enough original content to make it noteworthy.
2K Games have finally gotten around to releasing their second title onto Android called House Pest: Fiasco the Cat. While their first game was more of an adult title pertaining to politics, this new title is more of an all ages game, especially appealing to the younger Android audience out there although anyone of any age might enjoy this.
We aren’t even 24 hours past the media event that Amazon held where they announced a range of devices from a new eReader to a line of Kindle Fire HD tablets. Now we have two more companies adding support for the new Kindle Fire tablets. Both Activision and Crytek have announced games for all of the new Kindle Fire devices, Skylander Cloud Patrol and Fibble Flick n’ Roll.
While Activision and Glu Mobile release Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies from it’s month long Sony exclusivity, Herocraft and their neat little game called The Tiny Bang Story has also been released of its Sony exclusivity period and is now available for the rest of the Android world to download and play.
