Well, this past November, Gunhouse quietly slipped under the radar and hit the Google Play store for all Android devices. Everyone can now enjoy Necrosoft Games’ delightfully quirky take on tower defense and puzzle games.

The award-winning* Warlock’s Tower is an ingenious little movement-puzzle game brought to us in the monochromatic aesthetic of Nintendo’s original Game Boy. Emulating that 80’s 8-bit nostalgia so many people love, Brazil-based indie developers Midipixel have created a wonderful retro gaming experience perfectly in terms of graphics, sfx, and music for our enjoyment.
Puzzle games are a very popular and common genre on mobile, so it takes a bit of effort to stand out from the crowd. Imprint-X hopes to do just that, by combining simple yet attractive aesthetics with an equally simple yet engrossing style of gameplay. Originally greenlit on the Steam platform, the game is also making its way to mobile devices, including Android, on January 26th.
Classic games such as the Legend of Zelda, among others, are so successful that they become the inspiration for other games. Journey of HaHa is one such game, that has just been released on to Android by Tau Ceti Software. In this game, players will assume the eponymous role of HaHa, as she seeks to climb to the top of a tower.
Released by errorsevendev, Into the Sky is a new puzzler available for Android. The idea behind the game is fairly straight foward. Players are looking to complete each level, and advance to the next one, by illuminating targets with lasers. Players will be directing a nameless robot around each level, to manipulate the position of various objects, to bring the lasers and targets into alignment.
Released by PolyPandas, Blast Blitz is a new endless game that’s been released on to Android. In this game, players will assume the role of a nameless robot who seeks to navigate an endless maze. The layout and much of the games visual aesthetic is clearly inspired by Crossy Road.
So with the new year already in full swing, Google is running a sale on a bunch of games, some of which are marked down to a dime, which tends to only occur on special occasoins, such as holidays. In this case, Google is highlighting a pair of sales for games in Google Play. The first one being promoted is up to 80% off of In – Game sales, and there’s quite the cross section of games in the following list.
First of all I just want to say Happy New Years to everyone out there in the Android gaming land. Hopefully everyone had a great holiday and will have a fantastic 2017. It looks like the same goes for developers as this week has plenty of Android releases in store for us including the Mega Man ports arriving on January 5th. Players connect chains of similar gem-like objects to defeat enemies in each stage. Zut Games have developed a peculiar puzzle game involving the rearrangement and organization of tiles on colored mosaics into ordered spectrums titled I Love Hue. I Love Hue was designed specifically for seeking serenity with no timers, no move limits, or punishments for failing to find solutions. Its beautiful minimalism is meant as a gentle and relaxing experience for players to sink into.
