Seven classic games getting revamped for the Nvidia Shield Android TV console which apparently launches tomorrow
NVIDIA’s new SHIELD Android TV is aiming to be the new king of the set-top boxes: an all-round entertainment system capable of displaying 4K video with 7.1 surround sound, and it also has a serious gaming pedigree. It comes with its own controller and enables you to stream games from NVIDIA’s GRID service in full HD and maximum graphical quality, or even from your own PC over your local network or across the internet. On top of that, though, is a range of hit games that have been revamped especially for the SHIELD, some of them you’ll doubtless already know, and some of which might be new to you. Here’s our guide to the first seven games getting a SHIELD makeover.
There is a new Puzzle-RPG available on Google Play from developer Travasa which is called Dungeon Crawler. As one would guess from the name, Dungeon Crawler is a Puzzle-RPG that has players crawling through dungeons, battling monsters, and eventually saving a princess. Basically you’re living the dream of a hero, except if you die, then it’s not so much of a good life.

Well the company is celebrating turning 4yrs old and to celebrate, Outplay is developing four new games that will be arriving in the near future. If Outplay doesn’t seem familiar to you, you more than likely know some of their games, with their biggest one being a partnership effort with Rovio with the Angel Birds Stella Pop! game that was recently released.
Yesterday is a point and click adventure (with a little hidden object thrown in) that was released originally in 2012. The story centered around the murder of homeless people, and the protagonist John Yesterday (whose role is one of a couple that players assume) is hired to investigate them. Publisher Miroids and developer Pendulo Studio are announcing a sequel called Yesterday Origins.
Usually during the second week of any Humble Bundle, whether it be a mobile one or a themed one or any other type of bundle, there is usually additional games added to them. Depending on who you are playing as, that will end up either being Eric the Knight or Princess Erica.
Android Game Sale Round-Up: Joe Dever’s Lone Wolf Complete, Big Fish Games, Crowntakers and more
It’s Friday which means it is time for another end of the week round-up of Android games that are currently on sale right now. While this week’s list of discounted games is decent in size, with it being a long weekend we are a bit surprised the list isn’t bigger like previous years. Of course it is only Friday and there is a good chance this list could double in size before Monday.
In Nihilumbra, players assume the role of Born, a creature of darkness that is native to the realm that contains the Void and wishing to escape it. The game is a puzzle-platformer, with multiple levels on each of five different worlds, with Born using running and jumping to navigate the various stages.
Since the Nvidia Shield Android TV is almost upon us, and with lots of us being happy that the 500GB model is actually a real thing, we figured that we would list ten games that will be making the jump from PC/Consolel to the Shield Android TV console, many of which should be available at launch. Some of these games are currently available for the Shield tablet and portable already. Most of these games also made a brief appearance during Nvidia’s GDC 2015 press conference as well.
