Amazon has announced the first official Amazon Prime Day, which will be next week on July 15th, 2015. The company is literally trying to take out Black Friday in terms of just the sheer amount of savings that will be available on that day. In other words it will literally be like Christmas in July… as the saying goes. This means that if you’re in the market for a new Shield brand device, a new Android phone or tablet, this would be the day to to it if they go on sale, which is more than likely to happen.

When shown to journalists in early 2014, Q.U.B.E.: Director’s Cut gave a great first impression. It’s upgraded version of an indie hit, taking the first-person puzzle format made famous by Portal and expanding on it with a lonely, outer space vibe. Q.U.B.E.’s life began as an experimental college project. Now, the Director’s Cut is reintroducing itself.
Four new games arrive for Nvidia Shield devices: Half-Life 2 Ep. 2, Q.U.B.E, Never Alone, and Funk of Titans
While a lot of Shield Android TV owners are waiting for the release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel which should be happening soon, Nvidia has announced four new games for their Shield brand of devices, all of which are now available. One thing we have known for awhile is that GRID would not be free forever, and that Nvidia was planning to offer up a few different options for access to GRID, including a free service.
Following the success of their previous episodic adventures, Telltale Games hits a home run by securing the rights to apply their interactive storytelling talents to what is arguably the most popular fantasy franchise of all time (sorry Mr. Tolkien).
One game that a lot of current and future Shield Android TV owners are looking forward to happens to be the upcoming Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel game. This particular installment into the franchise will be taking place on Pandora’s Moon with four new classes to learn and play as while looking for all the loot you can carry.
If you were a gamer back in 2007, you’ll remember what a revelation Portal was when it first came to consoles and PCs. The puzzle platformer stretched minds the world over, while also hiding a cheekily clever story beneath its surface. All these years later, The Talos Principle is a first-person puzzler that shares many qualities with that modern classic, though fame isn’t one of them (yet).
Having been out for awhile now for Android devices, Machinarium is a delightful little adventure that’ll have you grinning from ear to ear when you’re not scratching your head in complete bafflement. It’s developed by Amanita Design, a small indie studio from the Czech Republic that made a name for itself years ago with a lovely browser-based game called Samorost, mixing animation and macro plant photography to create a surreal space adventure with a distinct organic feel.
Nvidia is pushing out a new update for their Shield Android TV console which brings with it a lot of requested enhancements, fixes, and upgrades to various aspects of their OS and software. Depending on what you use your Shield console for, this update is a much welcomed improvement overall.
