The most recent Humble Bundle is about half way through its sale time and just like when it always hits the mid-way mark for the allotted time each bundle is on sale, a few more games have been added to the list. This brings the total amount of games available for the Humble Bundle to nine in total if you opt into paying more than the average price people are paying at the time of you purchasing your bundle.

There are probably plenty of you who are reading this right now that have played the original After Burner game in the arcades from back in the day. Well Sega has decided to randomly release a game today and it is a new addition to the After Burner franchise called After Burner Climax.
PAX East 2013 is well under way now and plenty of gaming news is flowing out of this year’s event. The creative minds behind the rather twisted version of Oregon Trail, called Organ Trail, have announced a new game that they are working on and it is a rather uniquely themed shmup called Wizards & Warp Drives.
For those of you out there who are Neo Geo fans and specifically those of you who are fans of the Metal Slug franchise but haven’t picked up all the Android versions just yet, SNK Playmore has put the entire series on sale for 50% off for a limited time. That is all four Metal Slug games at half price which is a pretty solid deal considering how great these games are.
Gameloft’s been enjoying success for quite a long time, but many would say that the success is due to the developer’s ability to copy or clone other successful titles. There is a lot of truth to that statement, but lately the company has really become known for making just damn good quality games. Their titles range from strategy city-builders to shooters to mystery puzzlers, providing enough entertainment for everyone.
PlayJam is gearing up to do the official unveiling of their portable Android gaming console GameStick during GDC 2013 next week as well as an announcement that is in regards to the games that will be available to play using GameStick when it goes on sale retail-wise and pre-orders ship. Plasma Sky is a new arcade shooter that has arrived onto Google Play that sports some pretty slick looking visuals, especially for those of you out there who enjoy the glowy graphics some games back in the day. Even though Plasma Sky has a flare for the retro with its visuals, its gameplay also looks influenced by some of the more classic shooter games people used to play in the arcades.
It is time for another round-up of sales going on right now for Android games and today is an especially good round-up of limited time sales, most likely due to the fact St. Patrick’s Day is this weekend. Whatever the reason is though, there are some pretty awesome games on sale in order to entice you to spend some of those pennies you’ve been saving up.
I haven’t played the first game in the Towelfight series, but I can only imagine that it has to be something similar to this second one. That means over-the-top humor, a lot of action and a definite indie feel to the whole experience. Of course, I can’t say that this means that the entire experience is quite as original as I’d like it to be, at least in some ways. I like the fact that the artwork in game is almost rough and primitive looking, as though it was drawn or painted by a high-schooler. Don’t get me wrong, I drew my way through high school (much to the disappointment of my teachers) and even though I expect a little more polish when I play an actual, real-deal Android game I like the fact that the game looks rough. So much art in the Play market is pretty but has no soul. Towelfight 2 isn’t pretty, but at least I can tell what the creators were going for.
A couple of notable games which we have talked about in the past have changed their location on the Google Play store. Machinarium and Attack of the Wasabi Pee Invaders now have new locations with Machinarium now being under a new developer and not under Hothead Games as well.
