It’s about that time once again to round-up all the games on sale on Google Play for the end of this week. While the list is mostly the same from our mid-week round-up, there are a couple of new additional to the list and chances are there will probably be a few more games on sale over the weekend.
It is time once again for our mid-week round-up of Android games that are currently on sale right now over on Google Play. While this mid-week round-up isn’t a huge list of titles, what is on sale all happen to be pretty great games so sometimes it isn’t about quantity but quality instead.
Last week we reported on Spacetime Games (formerly Spacetime Studios) and the soft launch of their newest game called Battle Dragons. This particular game is a MMO strategy type of game featuring armies made out of dragons. Like most games of this nature, Battle Dragons also features the city building element as well, where you will need to keep building up your city in order to properly defend it as well as having stronger army units.
We’ve been following the development of a rather good looking tactical strategy game called Breach & Clear and now we finally have an official trailer for the game to watch. Originally this game was going to be free-to-play but the developers did not want the game mechanics and fun to be ruin so they switched to making the game a full paid title instead.
The Trese Brothers have already released a few popular RPGs since they have been on the Android scene but for the past while they have been silent due to a battle with one of the patent trolls we all know about, Lodsys. Well things have taken a turn for the better for the brothers and they are now finally able to get back to what they do best, making cool RPG titles and their newest one is Age of Pirates.
Back in May of this year a rather cool RTS game made its way onto Android but only for Playstation Mobile devices. This game was called Rymdkapsel and was developed by Grapefrukt Games and brought with it a unique blend of building and fighting all in one RTS title. The only problem is that it was only for Playstation Mobile devices. That, however, is going to change soon.
There is a new tower defense game looking for funding over on Kickstarter called Tower Evolution by ArtfulBits Inc. What this development studio is trying to do is make a game that is in a genre a lot of people love, tower defense, but mesh it with a thick layer of RPG elements to form a pretty interesting sounding hybrid game. In fact there will even be heroes in this game, so it isn’t your average tower defense title.
Almost a week ago we got confirmation that a version of Tokyo Jungle would be coming to Playstation Mobile in the very near future. Well that future has become the present and Tokyo Jungle is now available for Playstation Certified devices through the Playstation Mobile store. While this is a Tokyo Jungle game, it isn’t a direct port of the actual game for Playstation 3.
Spacetime Studios, developers of popular mobile MMORPGs such as Arcane Legends and Dark Legends, has undergone a name change and are now known as Spacetime Games. Along with the new name, the company has unveiled their newest game which is called Battle Dragons and it is already available as a soft launch to residents in Canada and Australia.
Back in December of last year we talked about a rather cool looking turn-based multiplayer combat game called TurtleStrike. This particular game is similar in style to other games of this nature such as Worms, except this has turtles packing big weaponry instead of a bunch of worms. When the game begins, players will create three different formations using a total of 10 turtles each.
