GREE releases a new TCG called Magnus Ignis, where dreams and nightmares come true

After the news of OpenFeint being shut down soon from yesterday, GREE has followed it up with a new game release called Magnus Ignis. GREE has also done what a few other developers have decided to do in the past and start a new developer account on Google Play with a slight variation of their name. Square Enix did it, EA has done it, and now GREE has done it as well. So even though this game shows up as the only game GREE has released onto Android, that is not true. It is just the first game under that account.

Aqua Kitty’s soundtrack now on sale for all you chiptune fans out there

We don’t usually report on soundtracks to games that often and when we do it is usually in passing when talking about something like the Humble Bundle. Well if you’re a fan of chiptunes then you are in for a treat as the Aqua Kitty soundtrack is now on sale and available for download. The soundtrack for Aqua Kitty sports some absolutely great chiptune tracks, all featured in the actual Playstation Mobile game as well.

GREE to officially shut down OpenFeint as of December 14th

Interesting news in the world of extra services developers can integrate into their games such as achievements and other unlockable content. GREE, who purchase OpenFeint last year, has decided to shut down OpenFeint as of December 14th, 2012 in favor for their own service. This means iOS and Android games who have OpenFeint integrated into it need to decide whether or not to move over to GREE’s own service or leave to another one instead.

Glu Mobile gearing up to release Dragon Slayer onto Android

Glu Mobile looks to be getting ready to release a new game onto Google Play soon called Dragon Slayer. This particular game is a full 3D action game that is similar in style to Monster Hunter titles, Skyrim and other similar games. You will be taking on various monsters, mostly of a fantasy nature like dragons, in order to hopefully rid the realm of them. The main focus is on dragons due to their relentless attacks on the lands but you will have to deal with other creatures as well.

Animoca to develop games based off of Mr. Bean and Ultraman for Android

Android game developer Animoca have announced that they have secured the rights to develop two games for Android based off of two very different TV shows. One game will be based off of the British comedy series, which has also spawned movies as well, called Mr. Bean. The second game will be based off of the Japanese superhero Ultraman who has had numerous TV Shows, toys, and existing video games based off of him.

Dexter The Game 2 has arrived, complete with never-ending bloody crimes to solve

It has actually been a little while since we last talked about Dexter The Game 2 coming to Android, with the last time being back in July of this year. Ecko|Code and Showtime have teamed up to bring Dexter The Game 2 to Android which is based off of the hit TV show which is also on Showtime. For those of you curious, yes the voice acting is done by the Series’ star Michael C. Hall.
