A new tactical/strategy RPG is heading our way soon from Bulwark Studios and Kasedo Games called Crowntakers. Currently this game is in the final stages of development and judging from the preview trailer that was just released for Crowntakers, this looks like it could be quite the fun strategy RPG title.

Square Enix, the company that makes all the Final Fantasy games we know and love, has put a few of their highly priced (and prized, if you ask me) games on sale. Normally, these games come in around $15 or $16 dollars, two of their offerings are now being sold for 50% off of their normal price.
Kongregate, the developers that also brought Game of Thrones Ascent to Android have released another game called Lionheart Tactics. The game is a tactical RPG that uses 3D graphics and turn-based gameplay.
Planet Stronghold is a full length RPG set in a SciFi setting. While the story is interesting, and there is control over both the direction it takes and over your relationships with the other characters, there is unfortunately a LOT that gets in the way of actual enjoyment of the game.
Legena: Union Tide is an upcoming 2D turn-based RPG with visuals and gameplay inspired by the 16-bit generation. Currently the game’s developer, Grandpa Pixel, is looking for £5000 on Kickstarter in order to fund the game. Legena is aiming to provide a “bolder” story which involves two characters Tetiro Aceus and Atesan Turwin protecting a man known as Scholar from the “Narrator.”
Square Enix hasn’t had their first Hitman mobile game out on the market all that long but that doesn’t mean the company hasn’t been working on a content update for it since its release back in the beginning of June 2014. Square Enix has announced that it will be releasing a new content update for the game shortly for Android users, while the iOS version of the update should be arriving now.
While Square Enix may not be porting any more of the actual Final Fantasy games found on other platforms, at least not for the immediate future, that isn’t stopping the company for releasing spin-off games for the franchise. The newest one to be announced is Final Fantasy Artnik Dive, a classic style Final Fantasy game but one that incorporates a Free-to-Play business model and social gaming features.
I mash my thumb into my phone’s screen for the umpteenth time, watching as the numbers next to my sword climb ever higher. I switch to my next hero, mashing my thumb once again into the glass, as the numbers next to my sorcerer’s boots jump up another 200. I jab my battle-worn thumb into the screen a few more times and find myself at the airship screen. My eyes glaze over with sheer joy as I watch the numbers next to my airship climb higher thanks to some hard earned upgrade components. Those too required many presses of my thumb. I pray my thumb will see my heroes to the level cap without breaking. This is the game for those with fortuitous thumbs. This is the game for those with little free time. This is Heroes of Atlan.
The official Twitter account for Angry Birds Epic announced the release date for the game, and it is coming out tomorrow. A turn-based RPG, Angry Birds Epic places the birds on a fantasy version of Piggy Island, although Piggy Island is in itself already fictional, in case you weren’t aware.
Back in May of this year we posted about Square Enix bringing Final Fantasy Agito to Android but unfortunately only to those folks who reside in Japan. During E3 2014 Square Enix made the announcement that Final Fantasy Agito would finally be getting released to the Western markets as well.
