Grand Theft Auto V has been out for a little bit now and iOS managed to get the companion application for the game ahead of Android. However Android is now on par with iOS as Rockstar Games has finally released Grand Theft Auto: iFruit onto Google Play and yes they kept the name as iFruit instead of changing it up for something a little more Android-centric.

The official Playstation 4 companion app launching November 13th for North America, Nov. 22nd for Europe
When the Xbox One and the Playstation 4 were announced this year there was a heavy focus on second-screen experiences as well as social features that both consoles would be coming having integrated into them. The Playstation 4 seemed to have more of a foothold on the whole thing, pushing the second-screen experiences and social features a lot more during their presentation and upcoming games.
Roccat has been making PC gaming peripherals for awhile now and it seems the company wants a piece of the mobile action but not in the way you are probably thinking. While we don’t usually post about different versions of Android that are being developed by third-party groups such as the really popular CyanogenMod but today’s news make an exception for us considering this particular ROM has over 8 million users, a lot of which read DroidGamers. Square Enix has been beta testing their newest MMORPG in the Final Fantasy franchise for awhile now and with the game’s actual release people have been having their own issues with trying to get onto the servers to play. It seems as though a new statue has appeared on the green lively grass over at Google’s main campus and it is that of a giant Andriod made out of Kit Kat bars. This means that the new version of Android will be named after the breakable chocolate bar.
We’ve always though that more major PC-based MMO games should be on mobile natively instead of having to DIY project things up a bit and streaming them to our tablets. While this isn’t about one of those games coming to mobile, this news does indicate a step in the right direction. It seems Riot Games is looking for Android and iOS developers with two new postings in their Careers section of their website.
We’ve talked about the open source media player XBMC and that it would be making its way to the Android-powered game console Ouya at some point when a stable version of the application actually exists. Well it seems that a stable version has finally been compiled and the XBMC media player is now officially available for download through Ouya’s marketplace.
Generally when we are talking about an application on Android it is usually either some sort of companion application for an already existing game, an emulator or a fan made application like a Live Wallpaper. This time we are actually talking about a non-gaming application getting an add-on made for it that deals with gaming. If you happen to use DashClock, there is now a widget that allows you to see what friends are online on Xbox Live.
