It always seems like games in a particular genre seem to get released or talked about all within the same time frame. For example, one week a bunch of RPGs will get released or talked about, while another week would be strategy games. It’s never planned, it just works out that way. So far this week seems to have a lot of arcade shooters and the Kings of Steam is a new one for Android devices.

Lionsgate has announced that they are developing a pair of mobile games based off of the Now You See Me franchise which, if you’re not immediately familiar with what that is, was a movie last year that did quite well in the theaters and has a sequel arriving this Summer. One of the game will be a normal mobile game, while the other game is going to be a mobile Virtual Reality game.

The upcoming Carmageddon game for console gamers has just had a release date announced, which is June 3rd, 2016 for those of you that are curious as to what that date is. One thing that hasn’t really been mentioned yet though is that this game will be getting a mobile companion called Carmageddon Crashers.
If you’ve been around for the golden era of console and PC gaming, back when arcades were big and popular, arcade shooters were some of the more popular games to play. There were games like Contra, Metal Slug, and so on which you could literally waste hours playing, and many people including myself did do that. Huntdown is an upcoming arcade shooter for Android that features the same sort of style the old school titles had.
Indie developer DodoDroid has released a simple but challenging new arcade game called Sequentia. Like the title suggests, this game is all about tapping on numbers in sequential order. The challenge comes in when you realize that you need to do this as fast as possible.
Released by Sollmo, Buddy Rush 2 is the sequel to the original Buddy Rush, and is being rolled out onto Android. Like the first one, the game’s visuals are focused on being “cute’, so the characters are all rendered with large heads on smallish bodies, in an almost doll-like fashion. All the characters, controlled by players or NPC, good or bad, are known as “buddies”.
Funimation Entertainment reveals the release time frame for the official Attack On Titan mobile game
There has been a good amount of great anime’s being released within the last year, and some of those end up getting quite popular. One of those popular shows happens to be Attack On Titan, which already has a second spin-off series airing and other related products, one of which happens to be its own official mobile game.
Last year the folks who maintain the Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator, or MAME for short, announced that they would be making the entire project open source. Now, 10 months later, that has become a reality as the process has been declared a success finally.
MHGames has announced that their newest puzzler called Oddhop will be landing on Android later this Spring and have released details about what exactly will be coming with this game. This particular game takes place in more of a board game style, where players will be presented a hexagonal terrain filled with different animals.
Released by chilly durango, Rocketfella is a new entry into the endless genre. In Rocketfella, players will assume the role of an unnamed character, who will be using a jetpack to fly ever upwards. Players will be encountering goons along the way, which can be dealt with by smashing into them from below, or simply avoided.
