As most Minecraft: Pocket Edition fans know, the 0.7.0 update that is on its way this April (if all goes well) will bring true multiplayer to the game. As we suspected in our previous coverage of the multiplayer functionality, it will be called Minecraft Realms.
You may remember back in mid-February that we mentioned that there would be two games coming our way from Square Enix called Drakerider and Chaos Rings II. Well Square Enix has brought one of those games so far over to Android for a worldwide release (initially it was Japan only) and that game is Chaos Rings II.
Back in the beginning of February we talked about Paradox Interactive and that they would be bringing their Magicka franchise to Android. While it won’t be exactly like its PC counterpart, that only applies to the visuals of Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet. The rest of the game will feature all of the humor and core game mechanics as the PC version.
So, we made everyone wait a few extra days before we picked all of the winners who will be receiving a free Humble Bundle for Android 5 that now comes with nine games in total. We are pretty sure everyone is eager to see if they won so we won’t draw this out any longer than it has to be.
It looks like Dungeon Hunter 4 is on the horizon as Gameloft has begun teasing the next installment into the dungeon crawling Action-RPG franchise on Twitter. While details are pretty scarce right now as to what this new Dungeon Hunter game will come with, we did get a few tidbits of information.
Not too long ago Trendy Entertainment took down Dungeon Defenders off of the Google Play store. This included both first and second wave versions of the game. Over on the forums, Trendy Entertainment said it didn’t look like the games would ever be coming back to Android which made a lot of people have sad faces. However, new evidence could be pointing to Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave coming back from the dead soon.
We’ve talked about Bladeslinger on and off for over a year at least, getting our first glimpse of it back in 2011 and subsequent hands-on shortly thereafter. Since it’s initial announcement that this game would be coming to Android, it has been delayed a few times for a variety to reasons. It finally got released onto iOS early this year and now Android has finally gotten Bladeslinger as well.
Hothead Games has just pushed the first major update to their multiplayer combat game called Rivals at War. While this is the first major update for the game, all it brings is a good selection of translated languages to Rivals at War, we really are not focusing on that. In fact we aren’t going to focus on the update at all.
If you’ve been following us for awhile now then you have probably seen us report on games being made by a company called Asobimo. One game we are currently waiting on for an English release, which should be coming soon actually, is Avabel Online. However, another game they have which just entered a new round of beta testing in Japan is Frontier Gunner.
