Previously, we had covered the early progress of an RPG in the same universe as the card game of Android: Netrunners. Since the RPG isn’t a direct port of Netrunners, it is referred to in the interview below as simply “Android”, the name of the universe in which Netrunners occurs.

Dark Horse Comics’ The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & PizzaBoy franchise is getting its own game
Dark Horse Comics has been running a comic series that has gained a pretty good following called The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & PizzaBoy. Well the rights to make a mobile game based off of the comic series have gone to Deep Silver Fishlabs and OKAM Studios.
Released by Avalon Games, The Greedy Cave is a new roguelike game for the Android platform. Set in the kingdom of Iblis, in the far north of the continent of Milton, lies a cave with treasure housed deep within. Iblis is a kingdom where its inhabitants live lives of hardship, just scraping by, in a day to day existence.
As we mentioned a week or so ago, Square Enix has been gearing up to release a few games on Nvidia’s GeForce Now service. Today sees another one making its debut which is Murdered: Soul Suspect. This is the gripping tale of a ghost detective attempting to solve his own murder, and it’s now available to stream on Nvidia Shield devices using GeForce Now.
Bar Oasis 2 Aftertaste 1 visual novel / time management game hybrid will be landing on Android later this year
In the time we have been doing DroidGamers we have run into many types of hybrid games, some of which make you sit back in your chair and think to yourself ‘huh, there is a neat idea right there’. Well this is one of those times where that happens with this new game called Bar Oasis 2 Aftertaste 1. This is a visual novel that meshes some time management gameplay into it.
Lionsgate has announced that they are developing a pair of mobile games based off of the Now You See Me franchise which, if you’re not immediately familiar with what that is, was a movie last year that did quite well in the theaters and has a sequel arriving this Summer. One of the game will be a normal mobile game, while the other game is going to be a mobile Virtual Reality game.
We don’t talk about cancellations at shows too often, mainly because it really doesn’t happen too often. When it does happen, it’s usually not for a game we are watching. However, this particular cancellation is about a game we’ve been following for awhile now. One game we were pretty eager to see in action, and hopefully get some hands-on time with, was Niantic’s upcoming Pokemon GO title.
The successfully funded (Kickstarter) indie adventure game Thimbleweed Park has received a new trailer for gamers who are interested in this title to check out. The story is being developed by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, and features a retro look to it which is similar to adventure games from back in the day when PC titles like this were quite popular.
Originally released about a decade back, Fahrenheit is “interactive narrative” that was originally known in North America as the Indigo Prophecy. At the time, the game was cross-platform, running on XBox, PS2, Mac, PC, and Linux. The game utilizes a heavy cinematic approach with a branching storyline, so there is lots to look at.
