Android users have a choice with so many things. That is why a lot of people choose Android devices, because of the flexibility the OS provides. We have the Google Play Store and the Amazon App Store. Though most people probably use the Google Play Store as their primary source for apps, every now and then, if a game or app is unavailable in the Play Store, you can always check the Amazon App Store to see if it is available there. EM Studios (Extra Mile), based in Glasgow, Scotland, has just released their first game on iOS. They have worked for many years in the game industry, and it shows with their first title, Shred It! It is a gorgeous, paper-craft created, snowboarding, endless runner. You will be able to hit the slopes with five different adorable characters, in what is sure to be fun for the whole family. The good news is, EM Studios has told us, the Android version is only a couple weeks away.
Another Boulder Dash game will be arriving onto Android in a couple of weeks in celebration of its 30th birthday. Officially called Boulder Dash 30th Anniversary, two of the original creators (Chris Gray and Peter Liepa) have come back and teamed up for the first time since the Rockford™ character was first introduced in 1984.
A new dual-stick shooter has arrived onto Google Play called Vampire Crystals Zombie Revenge by Shanblue Interactive. As you are probably guessing from the game’s title, this particular shooter features vampires and zombies going at it. In this case you will be playing as Vampires who are waging war against the zombies that have invaded Creepyland.
PikPok has created some solid game titles during their tenure in the game industry thus far. The games they create are well designed and generally quite fun to play. If you have been gaming for any amount of time, I am sure you have played Flick Kick Football, Flick Kick Rugby, Giant Boulder of Death, Into the Dead, Slam Dunk King or Super Monsters Ate My Condo! This time around, PikPok has chosen to revisit the sport of basketball with their latest game, Rival Stars Basketball.
The 3D puzzle genre has experienced a fair amount of growth this year, due to visually engaging games like Monument Valley and Back to Bed. Noxus Ltd., whose game development studio is in London, has joined the puzzle creating community, with their latest title Miika. It is an optical illusion puzzler created with the Unity game engine. You guide your adorable character Miika, through tricky visual puzzles set in a beautifully rendered environment. Completing the puzzles will require visual acuity, and the ability to carefully rotate the environment, to ensure Miika can complete his/her path, and doesn’t fall into the endless depths below.
We haven’t talked about a good bullet hell shooter coming to Android in some time so it is quite good that we get to do so today. Bullet Hell Infinite from NB Games will be making its way to Android soon and you get be sure that unless you are good at these types of games, you will be experiencing plenty of frustration (in a good way) in dying relentlessly.
As we get closer to Halloween we always try to find some cool zombie or horror games to play. One game we happen to be playing is Trigger Happy: Halloween by Lunagames. This particular title is pretty straightforward in that you are charged with the mission of killing as many undead zombies as you possibly can.
If immersion is your type of thing and you are always looking for games to play that really bring you into that game, then you might want to keep your eye out for a game called Dead End Alley. While the game is currently available on Android already, it is the Oculus Rift version we are talking about right now. Sure it will bring zombie killing right into your face but the rather cool part is that you can use a controller in the shape of a chainsaw do to the killing with.
SEGA is gearing up to pull Jet Set Radio from Google Play in the very near future. This won’t be a permanent disappearance of the game but there is also no exact date announced yet as to when it will return to Google Play once it is gone.
