To be released by Sensible Object, Fabulous Beasts is a new cross-platform game that’s undergoing a Kickstarter campaign. The game is designed to be played both in physical life on your tabletop, in conjunction with a game on tablets and smartphones. The inspiration for this game came from Sensible Object’s founder Alex Fleetwood while he was out camping and stacking firewood.

Chromecast, the dongle that allows apps to project content on to TVs, is getting more attention from Google. According to the Google developer’s blog, the company just announced the release of the “Google Cast Remote Display plugin for Unity”. What it does is make games based on the Unity engine take advantage of Chromecast’s screen casting ability.
Based on the board game created by Uwe Rosenberg Le Havre: The Inland Port is a digital port that’s now out for Android. Like the board game, this is a two player game where both players are competing to create the richest port in Le Havre. Players will look to build structures that can either be sold off, or retained in order to monetize its special ability. Players can use their opponent’s building by paying for them.
For fans of Mahjong Solitaire, there is a new game out that incorporates Mahjong Solitaire into a story driven puzzler. Tabbed as Battle Mahjong of Lunatic Night, this game is solitaire with a story. The tiles have been customized for the game, so instead of seeing the tiles that one would normally see in Mahjong Solitaire, the tiles are thematic to the game. So players will be seeing and matching tiles that are marked either as monsters or helpful items.
Developed by DrFerrous, Proximity 3D is a new turn-based strategy game where players choose what color they will represent, then try to outsmart your opponent by strategically positioning your numbered tiles on the playing area. The number each tile has is essentially the ‘strength’ of that tile.
