With the OUYA console just months away from consumers and it finally landing in the hands of developers, the “hands-on” impressions are starting to roll in. As it turns out, DroidGamers has yet to get their hands on a console to officially review. Also, as we get closer and closer to the OUYA release more of the promises or intentions of this platform are beginning to fall flat.
So today marks the first of many livestreams to come over at our TwitchTV channel. We’ve finally started it up and what you’ll find over there will be us playing Android games, whether they were just released, old classics or previews of upcoming games not even released yet.
The newest Humble Bundle for Android has arrived featuring six pretty awesome games in one package including bringing Dungeon Defenders (and all the DLC it comes with) out of retirement for the duration of the Humble Bundle. A little known fact about DroidGamers is that our 3rd birthday is also this month (next week to be exact). To celebrate both our upcoming birthday and the launch of a new Humble Bundle for Android, we are giving away 10 copies of the Humble Bundle for Android 5 (all six games) to ten lucky readers over the next few days.
Well to keep things rolling with updates and new features for everyone to use, we’ve updated our app on the Google Play store with a rather big update. A whole new and much better looking UI overall, much more expandable, built-in HTML 5 support and more are all apart of this update.
So we’ve been pretty busy the past couple of weeks working on a few more projects we hinted at doing over the past little while. Well now we are happy to say that they are pretty much done and ready to go, live for everyone to check out, use and enjoy. So what exactly have we done?
So the big Android gaming package we put together to giveaway to one of our lucky readers is over and so now it is time to randomly pick the winner. This person will receive everything that was listed to be part of the gaming package and therefor will be nicely geared up to play as many Android games as they can handle both at home and while on the go.
Well, our Under The Radar column was meant to be something we did once every week or so, but in just the past few days I’ve come across some really good titles from first-time indie developers. So that leads us to our second Under The Radar for the week. More than half of the games on this list can be classified under the “brutal” category, so if you’re looking for challenging games then be sure to give them a go.
Well we finished a week of giveaways to celebrate a bunch of different things from just the new year starting to our site redesign launching and even some features we haven’t even launched yet but will be over the next few weeks. Or have we finished giving away stuff yet…
On Friday we started our giveaway for a shiny new 16GB Nexus 7 Android tablet that the fine folks over at nVidia decided to donate towards our week long celebration where we are doing giveaways every day. So far we’ve given out a ton of stuff to our readers and believe it or not we still have more! So this may end up being a week and a half celebration instead.
It is that time once again to announce winners for the previous day’s giveaway in our week long giveaway event.
