Once a fan favorite before development seemed to stop altogether, Trendy Entertainment’s Dungeon Defenders was a great game to play on Android. Now it seems that life is finally being breathed back into the franchise for Android devices with the launch of Dungeon Defenders Eternity.

Back when it was announced that Trendy Entertainment was making a sequel to their hit tower defense style game Dungeon Defenders, everyone seemed pretty excited about a lot of the changes that would be arriving with this sequel. One of the big changes was that it would be a lot more like a MOBA style game than an action-based tower defense game like the original was.
While a lot of the mobile gaming world was rather down and sad about the removal of Dungeon Defenders from Google Play due to hosting issues, a spark of hope had come about with the most recent Humble Bundle for Android #5 which included Dungeon Defenders along with all the DLC content for it. While that spark was short lived, with Dungeon Defenders never coming back, Trendy Entertainment has announced that the official sequel, Dungeon Defenders II, will be arriving to all platforms including iOS and mobile.
Not too long ago Trendy Entertainment took down Dungeon Defenders off of the Google Play store. This included both first and second wave versions of the game. Over on the forums, Trendy Entertainment said it didn’t look like the games would ever be coming back to Android which made a lot of people have sad faces. However, new evidence could be pointing to Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave coming back from the dead soon.
Last year in October Trendy Entertainment pulled their Dungeon Defenders games from the Google Play store. They really didn’t notify anyone as to why they did this although we had our own ideas as to why it happened. One of those ideas was the recent issue with GameSpy where they shutdown multiple servers that games were hosted on.
Last week we reported on the rather awesome defense game Dungeon Defenders from Trendy Entertainment had disappeared from the Google Play store. While we decided to take some guesses as to why it had gone poof, in the comments of that article some people were able to access Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave through a direct link instead of through a Google Play search. This led us to believe that perhaps the error was based on something going wrong with Google Play’s search.
It is no secret that Trendy Entertainment have been really focused for awhile now on Dungeon Defenders for Steam and consoles, with the mobile versions getting very minimal updates and very little content updates. Well we are not exactly sure when this happened, although we do know it happened fairly recently, but Dungeon Defenders has disappeared off of the Google Play store. This goes for both of the Dungeon Defenders games.
Our friends over at Trendy Entertainment have just announced that Dungeon Defenders; Second Wave is now available to all Android users for free. This new ‘wave’, or sequel depending on which term you like to use, features a completely revamped user interface and much more.

Trendy Entertainment creates Puppy Punch Productions. Launches closed beta for “A Game with Balls”.
If the name of their new studios, Puppy Punch, doesn’t get you giggling even a little bit then perhaps the title of their first game that is entering closed beta testing will do the trick. Called ‘A Game with Balls’ or AGWB for short, this will be their first release and will land on multiple platforms including Android.
