Square Enix hasn’t really done anything sale-wise since they started releasing games onto Android but that appears to have changed as a bunch of their games are now on sale for the holidays. This isn’t just a dollar or two off of their game’s regular pricing either but a heavy discount on most of their titles.

A couple of weeks ago we talked about a rather unique looking Final Fantasy game that would be coming to Android but instead of Square Enix publishing it, they teamed up with DeNA instead who then published it on their Mobage social gaming platform. The game we are talking about is Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade and you will either love it or hate it.
Square Enix has gone ahead and given everyone a heads up about when the next Final Fantasy installment would be landing on Android and iOS, most likely in order for everyone to start saving up their pennies so they can afford it. Final Fantasy IV will be arriving on iOS this month while all of us Android gamers will be seeing this next Final Fantasy title arriving on Google Play in early Spring of 2013.
It looks like the release of Final Fantasy games on Android won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Last week we reported on GREE and Square Enix teaming up to bring a Final Fantasy game to Android and now it appears that DeNA and Square Enix are also teaming up to bring a Final Fantasy title to Android called Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade.

It’s Wednesday and keep with the tradition that this week has somehow developed in regards to news pertaining to GREE, the company has announced a rather impressive list of games that will be heading to their platform in the near future. It is no secret that GREE has had their sights on expanding into the European and North American mobile gaming market on Android, having a rather aggressive expansion plan in place since they officially announced that their social gaming platform would be expanding worldwide instead of strictly in Japan earlier this year.

While we all wait for Square Enix to slowly, ever so slowly, bring Final Fantasy Dimensions to Android, since it’s already out on iOS, there isĀ tradition that most Final Fantasy fans have long held close to their hearts. That is the tradition of finding porn magazines in-game as hidden Easter Eggs. It looks as though Final Fantasy Dimensions keeps this tradition live as well.
Square Enix’s upcoming Final Fantasy Dimensions game for Android and iOS is slated for release August 31st onto both platforms if the news from yesterday is true. There is also circumstances where there could be a delay or a possible location-based initial release could happen. Now, however, we know the price the game will be going for.
We have reported in the past about Square Enix and their slate of upcoming games for Android. There are a wide variety of games heading our way and we even got a treat with Final Fantasy III being released. Square Enix must have decided to reward us for our patience as they have just quietly released Final Fantasy onto Google Play.
We knew today was going to be a good day for gaming news once again but we didn’t expect to wake up to this little gem of a game being on the Google Play store. Actually it isn’t little and as a huge Final Fantasy fan myself, seeing Final Fantasy III on the Google Play store is a good way to start the day.
