We don’t usually post about Android devices going on sale mainly because there are plenty of other sites out there that cover this sort of thing. However once in awhile there is a sale so good we just have to post about it and that happens to be the case today with LG’s G2 Android phone on Amazon going for $199 for a limited time. LG just held their press event moments ago where the much leaked LG G2 was officially announced. This is quite the beastly Android phone where LG has gone and switched out from using a Tegra chipset, which they used in their LG G2X, and have gone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset which makes this a quad-core phone running at 2.26GHz.
For US Residents who missed out on when the Nexus 4 originally went on sale on Google Play, mostly due to the checkout process crashing and generally not working properly due to all the traffic, there is some more good news for you this morning as well. Google has announced that the Nexus 4 will be going back on sale today at Noon PST. Unfortunately this is for US residents only so anyone else waiting to get one outside of the USA have to wait a bit longer.
Well today was supposed to be the large media event Google was going to hold but it unfortunately got canceled due to the bad weather going on over on the East coast, which we hope all of our readers over there are taking measures to stay safe. Google, instead of rescheduling the event to announce the new Nexus devices, has gone ahead and made everything official today anyways through an online announcement instead. So what is official? The LG Nexus 4, the Nexus 10 tablet and the Nexus 7 32GB version tablet.
While October 29th is only five days away, which is when Google will be having an event in New York which everyone is pretty much guess will be the official announcement of the Nexus 4 device, probably something to do with Android 4.2 and even possibly the Nexus 10 tablet. One thing is for certain, something with a Nexus will be involved.

Yesterday Qualcomm came out with a statement to confirm that their new Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core chip would be arriving in an upcoming LG Android phone. Now we have LG teasing us with a video regarding this same exact phone as well as giving us a bit more information about the hardware.
Bouncing over to a little hardware news right now, rumors of an LG device that would soon be arriving with a Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core chip have been confirmed in a statement released by Qualcomm today. The Qualcomm APQ8064 processor will indeed be arriving in an upcoming LG smartphone later this year.
OnLive has made a few announcements already this E3, most of which are pretty cool in their own right but really has no bearing on Android gaming. However, one announcement does and that is the fact that OnLive is partnering up with LG and their Smart TVs with Google TV installed.
