Ubisoft’s rather enjoyable running and jumping game based on the Rayman series, called Rayman Jungle Run, will be getting an update that will bring with it ten new levels to run your little Rayman character through. For those of you unfamiliar with the game, it is based off of those rather fun bonus levels found in Rayman Origins and is built using the same engine, UbiArt Framework Engine, that Rayman Origins was made from.
A new reflex-based platformer has arrived onto Google Play from Thecle called Joe’s World – Episode 1: The Old Tree. As you can tell by the name, this will be a series of games featuring a little boy who happens to be the hero that will rescue all the land from the evil that has arisen. The world of Joe is a fantastical world now being threatened by an evil force who has basically put a curse on The Forest Master.
11 Bit Studios are on a roll at the moment. They recently released Funky Smugglers, and will soon launch the sequel to Anomaly: Warzone Earth, called Anomaly Korea. Anyways, today the Polish-based game developers are putting up Sleepwalker’s Journey on Google Play, you know, for people like me who never sleepwalk but would like to experience it all the same.
It’s been about a week since Humble Bundle 4 for Android was released into the wild for all to buy and download. Featuring five games already, six if you include the unlockable Machinarium game if you chose to pay over the average amount being paid for the bundle at the time of you purchasing it, the Humble Bundle 4 for Android has seen quite a bit of success, selling over 124,000 bundles, adding up to over $760,000 in total sales in the first week. To celebrate this, the folk over at Humble Bundle have added five more gamed to make the total 10 that you will get, 11 if you pay more than the average.
Chillingo has released a couple of new games onto the Google Play store this morning called This Could Hurt and Grow Away. Both games are very different from each other with This Could Hurt being a 3D platformer while Grow Away is a game similar to a lot of the other ‘vs’ types of games already available on Android except this one is themed around food vs bad diet.
By now, I suppose all of you know of the Humble Bundle for Android 4, and have in the process snagged yourselves five (or six, if you paid above the average) great indie games that are mostly making their debut on Android. If you haven’t already got the bundle, then do yourself and the whole of humanity a favor by getting it!
Fans of Crescent Moon Games and the titles they have published on iOS, and eventually on Android, have been waiting for the day that their games would be made available on Google Play instead of strictly on the Amazon AppStore. We for those of you who have been waiting, the good news is finally arriving on November 16th, 2012 when Crescent Moon Games will bring Paper Monsters to Google Play.
It has been awhile since we last talked about this game and the fact that it was coming to Android. Now Ilot Benton has released our towel whipping hero in Towel Tim in Outer Space, or just Towel Tim for short. With nothing but a towel to defend yourself and your bare ass with, Towel Tim is set to take on his robotic enemies as he tried to figure out how to get his bare ass home.
It seems like there is a lot more going on this year in regards to Halloween than last year and so we have even more news to share. This time it is coming from the fine folks at Sega who have put up a couple of titles on sale to celebrate Halloween. While iOS users get the better end of the stick with this sale, we do get Sonic CD and Football Manager Handheld 2012 on sale for a limited time.
OrangePixel are a mainstay on Android when it comes to retro-style games and one of their previous titles, called Meganoid, was a rather challenging platformer. Well luckily for us all who had plenty of fun, and plenty of frustration, playing Meganoid, OrangePixel has released a sequel to it called Meganoid 2. Like any good sequel, Meganoid 2 is harder than the original game.
