Welcome to this week’s round-up of Android games that happen to be on sale right now. This particular week’s list is actually quite big, with a number of developers putting more than one game on sale. Inkle has put all three Sorcery! games on sale to celebrate the upcoming release of Sorcery! 4, and Rockstar Games still has a few Grand Theft Auto titles on sale along with Max Payne.

It’s the end of the week which means it is time for another Android game sale round-up. This week’s list actually has a good amount of newcomers showing up, while also having a few repeats from the last round-up we did. There are some pretty decent indie games making their appearance this week as well.
Hotlap Heroes is a new multiplayer racing game from developers Team Pea. Besides the actual game itself, the developers have also released a companion app for this game called Hotlap Heroes: Controller App. As you might be guessing, this app will turn your Android device of choice into a controller, allowing you to connect to the multiplayer gameplay mode regardless of the device you’re using.
The original Riptide has been out for a couple of years, and now Vector Unit has released its sequel, dubbed Riptide GP: Renegade, onto all supported Android devices. The wave racing gameplay has been carried over, in that players are racing hydrojets, and are awarded bonuses for successfully performing stunts while in mid-air.
Real Racing 3, published by EA, has received an update called the Evolution of Jaguar. This update brings with it six new limited-time events where players can compete for a chance to win in-game high-performance vehicles from Jaguar, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Dodge to add to their collection.
Featuring very detailed high-definition visuals and effects, Riptide GP: Renegade puts players in the role of a hydro jet racer who has been framed and banned from the professional Riptide GP league. In order to restore your reputation as the best racer on the planet you must compete in illegal races around the city. Since the races you find yourself in are not sanctioned, you will not only have to race against other participants but also evade the police who have their own hydro jet bikes. The combination of being both a racer and a fugitive is one of the things that makes Riptide GP: Renegade a refreshingly different take on traditional arcade-style racing.
Vector Unit has finally announced a release date for the upcoming addition to the Riptide GP franchise. Officially titled Riptide GP: Renegades, this particular title will actually have a slightly staggered release, with the Nvidia Shield Android TV version coming out first, and then the general Android version following shortly afterwards.
NaturalMotion and Zynga have globally released the sequel to their CSR Racing game today on Android, appropriately named CSR Racing 2. This sequel apparently takes everything that’s good from the first title, and brings it into this sequel while expanding on those features and adding new ones as well.
I came across a video of Beat Racer and I was immediately eager to play the game. The game is published by Lila Soft, and it has already been released on iOS. The Android version of the game is still in development, so we don’t have a specific release date for it yet. Lila Soft mentioned on their Facebook page that it will release in July. Beat Racer glows with neon colors and vibrant environments. Take the world of the last Tron movie and throw in some incredible music from indie music artists and you have Beat Racer.
Released by Boomfruit, Memento Bay is a new racing game where players control a speedboat. The idea behind this game is similar to what is frequently found in arcade racing games. To wit, players will look to guide their speed boat around various hazards such as buildings, trees, and the like, and through the checkpoints that are scattered along the way.
