Noodlecake has begun teasing their next release which is another title made by Ravenous Games called Beatdown. This particular game is a side-scrolling brawler similar in style to past old school games like Double Dragon. The ironic part about this game is that our ‘hero’ isn’t actually a hero in some regards since his goal is to give his ex-boss a beatdown for firing him.

Cherrypick has released a successor to their popular game called Touchdown Hero today. This new game is called Must Deliver and it is all about curing the zombie apocalypse. Crazy news this morning for fans of old school RPG series, DotEmu has announced that they will be bringing the Ys Chronicles to Android in the near future… well the first game at least. For those of you not familiar with this franchise, Ys is a JRPG franchise that originally released in North America in 1990 under the slightly different name Ys Book I & II. However Ys Chronicles was a remake of those games, with a bunch of enhancements and packed together, before being released in the early 2000s for PC and the PSP which is where it gained a lot of popularity, not that it wasn’t popular back in the early 1990s.

Originally released in 1993 by SNK, Fatal Fury Special has been released for Android. Originally the game was released as an updated version of Fatal Fury 2, though SNK asserts that this mobile release is more, having revised the balance of the game, and introduced a new system for combos (which apparently weren’t included at all, in versions previous to the original release of Fatal Fury Special).

Wadjet Eye Games, the makers of The Shivah, Gemini Rue, and the Blackwell Series, are about to release another game, in their classic pixelated style. Called Technobabylon, this game is set in a city that’s located in a dystopian Sci-Fi setting, where an Artificial Intelligence runs the city and the local law enforcement are “all seeing” and “keep tabs on everyone”.
Easter weekend is here and a lot of people have today off. This also means one thing… Android games going on sale! So as you can imagine, there are plenty of Android games on sale right now and a lot of them are really good. Handy Games is still going strong with their $0.15 sale, Square Enix has jumped into things by discounting a few Dragons Quest titles, and Disney is celebrating Easter with a bunch of games going on sale as well. That’s not mentioning all the other developers out there discounting their games for this holiday weekend.
