One game we’ve been waiting for since it was successfully funded on Kickstarter is War Balloon’s Star Command. This space themed adventure sim game is one that we have been keeping an eye out for, especially since the iOS version has already been released. It appears that the game may well be getting released this month finally.

Well it has been almost 3 months since the newest Japanese farming Kairosoft game was spotted in the Play Store and still no English version has come forward. However, a new game has been spotted on Kairosofts site so we know they have been busy working away on something. The latest game looks to be another management sim and this one looks like it is based on running a Social Network Gaming Company.
It’s that time again to round-up all the Android games that are on sale right now. This week is an interesting one since Amazon’s AppStore in Europe is celebrating their first year being open ad are offering up ten free games and apps instead of the usual one. Even though this is to celebrate the European store, other countries like Canada, US and so on can also access this and take advantage of the freebies.
OrangePixel has been working on a Gauntlet style for quite some time now called Heroes of Loot. Up until now we haven’t really had a solid release date for this game but thanks to a tweet over on their Twitter account today, we now know that Heroes of Loot will be arriving onto Android on September 12th, 2013 and possibly Ouya as well on the same day.
Back in June we brought word that Konami’s would be bringing the first full licensed Contra game to Android called Contra: Evolution. The porting / remaking of the original Contra game was done by CocoaChina/Chukong who secured the rights to handle this project and since our last article about Contra: Evolution making its way to Android, the game has already been released onto iOS. It is, however, now available for Android users as well.
Since Gamescom 2013 is Europe’s premier gaming industry conference and France happens to be a partner country for this event, there is a service called ‘Le Game’ which helps promote French game development companies to the international crowd. Le Game has come up with a bundle type of sale to help accomplish this where there will be a total of three bundles available for a short period of time.
Papers, Please is an interesting sim game that was recently released for PC and has since gained a cult following which continues to grow. The developer of the game, Lucas Pope, is also planning to bring the bureaucratic sim over to Android and iOS tablets as well. While the Android version won’t have a problem with being released onto Google Play, the developer is weary about Apple’s approval policies and isn’t sure the game will get approved for iOS devices.
Welcome to a new installment into our Ouya Game Watch series of articles. In these article we just point out a few games that are usually new to Ouya tha you should probably check out. This week we’ve already seen some pretty nice titles landing on the Ouya marketplace and the selection on there is starting to get real good.
A couple of days ago a game called Nakama was released onto iOS for iPhone users to play. Nakama is a rather cool retro looking side-scrolling arcade game featuring ninjas and the good news about this game is that it will be arriving onto Android courtesy of Crescent Moon Games.
Larva Labs has been around on Android for a long time and have made some pretty addictive games in that time. One of those games happens to be a series called Gurk which, up until now, had two installments available. Well it has been somewhat quiet over at Larva Labs but the silence has been broken as the company has released Gurk III officially and not in the beta form that was up on Google Play for a bit.
