It has been rumored for awhile now that PayPal would be bringing Android Market support sometime in the future. As of late more evidence of that has been coming to light, mainly from the back-end of the PayPal site interface where you can activate the ability to offer PayPal if you are an Android developer. Well I think this next piece of evidence is pretty self-explanatory.
Here is a little update regarding the pirating issue with recently released Reckless Racing (say that 10 times as fast as possible). According to a post on Polarbit’s website, the server update was completed and seems to have worked regarding pirated copies of Reckless Racing causing server problems with getting data from the servers to the game.
New photos of the rumored Sony PSP Go-like phone that is apparently under development have surfaced confirming the existence of this device. Also coming to light are a lot more of the specs this little device will be running and it is pretty impressive so far. We have been on top of this story since the rumor first broke, even having a source confirm it for us as well.
A new set of APIs will be available very soon from Adobe, Codenamed: “Molehill” for developers to use in their Flash game development. These are low-level, GPU accelerated 3D APIs which will allow developers to make much more detailed and faster rendering 3D graphics for the upcoming Flash Player update. Officially this is awesome news.
Adobe Max 2010 is currently underway and some of the announcements that came out of today already have been some major goodies and could mean a lot when it comes to gaming on your Android phone. While detailed information is still currently being released here are some things you might want to drool over while you wait.
We are seeing a lot more quality games being released onto the Android Market on an almost daily basis now. Some built normally, while others are 3D and more still using AIR. Alchemist II is one of those built using AIR that is a high quality puzzle game with an adaptive AI that will adjust to how you play the game. Ready to use that brain of yours?
In what is probably one of the strongest responses put out by a developer/publisher regarding their game being pirated, Polarbit has released a public statement regarding the current situation with Reckless Racing, their highly awaited racing game that was just released last week. On top of their response, they have pulled the game from the Android Market.
Speed X, so fast you’ll crash before you realize what’s happening. The X stands for Xtreme… or is it pure Xcellence. Whatever it is, I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s an Xtraordinary game. A tunnel racing game where great 3D graphics meet great gameplay with a slight sprinkling of frustration makes this a great game to play.
Beware, Dance Dance Revolution has gone mobile. You thought DDR and their offspring were dead did you? As a former FlashFlashRevoultion player, I know full well the addictiveness of these games. However, custom step packs and songs which you, yourself, can put into the game? That’s just one more reason to get addicted to this game.
At first this may not seem like it is Android gaming related until you remember that rumor has it that Sony Ericsson is apparently making a PSP Go-like phone using the Android OS. According to Engadget, Sony is considering using Android in more of their products although what exactly those products are is unknown but it’s a fair guess what it might be.
