This week is shaping up to be quite a week when it comes to Android games. Adding to the growing list of titles that we be launching this week is Crescent Moon Games’ Zen Training which is already currently out for iOS devices. Crescent Moon Games has a tendency to release rather unique games and Zen Training is no exception to that rule.

Square Enix has become quite active on mobile platforms in recent times, churning out original mobile titles as well as ports of their older hits. One such new original mobile product is Demons’ Score, a rhythm-based action game where you duel against the demons of the underworld. A third game has appeared on the Google Play store and it appears Square Enix has done a triple release this morning. Aside from Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy Dimensions being released this morning, their Unreal Engine built rhythm-based game Demon’s Score THD is also available but for Tegra 3 based Android devices.
Acquire, who are the developers of the rather unique platformer called SUMIONI Demon Arts THD that was recently released for Tegra-based devices, have had their next title appear on Tegra Zone and Google Play. Orgarhythm THD, as it is called, is a game we briefly mentioned back a few months ago when we were talking about upcoming games heading our way for Tegra-based devices.
Rhythm Destruction is a rather unique game as it blends two gaming genres that you might think as a bit difficult to combine, the rhythm-based gaming genres and shoot ’em ups (or Shmups for short). Well this game, which is looking for a little more funding on Kickstarter, seems to have figured a way to blend the two genres together.
Back almost a year and a half ago, back in late 2010, Gamevil acquired and released TouchMix onto Android. Since then that game has received a few updates to keep it somewhat fresh. Now, after all this time, the next installment into the TouchMix series has arrived called TouchMix FX.
Gamelion has decided to lower the price of their rhythm themed game Boom Beats to a lower price. Actually it isn’t a sale or anything like that, they just decided to make the game free instead, permanently. If you have played other rhythm games on Android such as Cytus, you should be able to jump right into Boom Beats.
While we all are still waiting for Skillz: The DJ Game to land on Android, if you are eager to play a music game that is a bit unique to tide you over till Skillz is released, there is a new one on the Android Market today called RoboFonics. It is a mix of music creation and puzzle solving which seems pretty fun.
The Pokemon Company is currently developing a Pokemon game for iOS and Android users in Japan. The game will be an rhythm-action game where you will tap on the Pokemon trading cards in time to the theme song from the actual anime. Pokemon fans can lose our minds if you live in Japan.
