DeNA has sent us word that they will be hosting two major raid boss events in two of their games this week and it will be all about the dragons… big dragons. Both Hellfire and D.O.T. Defender of Texel will be getting a raid boss event where players will have to deal with dragons in one way or another. However, with great risk comes great rewards.

Two games, one of which we’ve talked about in the past, have been successfully funded over on Kickstarter and will be heading to Android soon. Asylum by Agustín Cordes and Ascension Online by Stone Blade Entertainment have both reached their funding goals and Android versions are under development now.
Gameloft has randomly released a new card combat game called Dragon Summoner onto Google Play this morning. This particular TCG (Trading card game) features animate battle scene when you’re in combat, that way it really doesn’t feel like a plain static card combat game. Currently there is over 200 cards in the game to collect right now and more will be arriving soon.
For those of you who read our last article about the update for Gameloft’s MOBA title Heroes of Order and Chaos, and watched the character rundown video in that article all the way to the very end, you might have noticed something a little interesting there. It seems Gameloft does in fact have another Order and Chaos title up their sleeve called Order and Chaod Duels.
The deck building RPG strategy game Ascension and Ascension Online could be heading to Android around the end of this year. Currently available as both a tabletop and iOS game, the developers are planning to start up a Kickstarter campaign with the goal being to bring both games to Android and Steam, with a release time of round the end of 2013.
About a week ago we talked about a Tekken game that would be heading our way soon from Namco Bandai. While it is unfortunately not a head-to-head combat game in the series’ traditional sense, it is still a combat game nonetheless. For those of you who are waiting for the game to arrive, Tekken Card Tournament is now available in open beta.
One brand of fighting games we had hoped would make it to Android at some point is the Tekken series. Well we sort of got our wish filled although it isn’t exactly what we had in mind when we said we wanted Tekken to come to Android. See, Namco Bandai is bringing Tekken to Android but instead of a head-to-head fighting game it will arrive as a cross-platform card battle game instead.
A couple of days ago we talked about Sega’s upcoming game Kingdom Conquest II and that early registration had gone live and anyone who registered ahead of time would get two rare limited run monsters as a prize. Well if you haven’t gotten a chance to do that then you’re out of luck since Sega’s Kingdom Conquest II is now live on Google Play.
Dark Summoner, by Ateam inc, is a very odd game. I’ve played similar games before and have even enjoyed them, but this particular one seems so eager to convince you that hitting a few buttons for a few minutes at a time is somehow fun, immersive or challenging. OK, I should say that pushing only a few buttons occasionally can be fun thanks to social, casual and turn-based gaming, but Dark Summoner is so packed with flashy images and confusing UI elements that I felt like I was stuck in Vegas on a repeating loop.
A rather interesting game has been released onto Google Play today from MMz Tech called Pixel Quest RPG. What makes this game fairly unique and interesting is the concept for it which is essentially a combination of old school RPGs (think Final Fantasy) with TCG style mechanics and the sandbox style of games like Minecraft where you can craft and build items.
