Machinima has finally released their application onto Google Play today, after being in the works for quite some time now. Machinima started off as a YouTube channel that would post videos that were made using the assets within a game to make original content, whether that be a movie, a short story, a humorous clip, and even music videos. The main thing was that is used assets from games to create this content. Over the years Machinima has expanded to cover all kinds of content creation including live action movies and so on. It is still based around video games most of the time.

The Twitch application for mobile devices keeps getting better and better and this new update that arrived today is no exception to that either. This latest update brings another feature a lot of people have been wanting for some time: on-demand VODs to watch.
Last week Jaymes finally posted about where I have been after a week of absence. The reason it took so long to post about it is because I wasn’t expecting to be out of commission for so long. I figured I would be a few days in a hospital bed, possibly able to work from there, and then back to the daily grind once I was home. That, however, was not the case, not even close to it.
The Twitch mobile app has been updated with a pretty handy feature that the web version of their platform has had for a bit now. Users of the mobile app can now use Chat Mentions inside the chatroom in any channel they happen to be watching while in the application. This means people will actually be able to see you talking to them.

So back in February 2015 we reported on Sony’s Playstation Remote Play being ported over to non-Xperia Android devices which includes devices like the Nvidia Shield portable or pretty much any Android device for that matter. However, if you follow the link in that article to go get the app, you will notice one big change. The thread has been locked and closed. So where can you get this app? Well there is some good news. It is still available over on the XDA Forums.
We have finally updated our app this afternoon which, for some of you, is something you have been hoping to have happen for awhile now. You may have seen us mentioning on G+ that we are redesigning the app with a whole new look. That isn’t this update. What this update is for is to get ready for that one which will be coming soon. However, there are some new features added with this update and a few tweaks.
We use YouTube a lot here at DroidGamers, whether it be posting trailers from other developer’s channels, or posting trailers and gameplay videos from our own channel, and now even uploading previous TwitchTV streams to YouTube. So with YouTube’s announcement of a paid subscription where people can pay to view videos without the ads, you could now watch everything without the ads. This is especially good for the long TwitchTV streams we have, and will continue to, upload onto YouTube. Content creators also need to know the details regarding this new feature.
