Depending on how you look at this app, you could say it is sort of a puzzle game or you could say it is an educational application. We happen to look at it as more of a puzzle game where you build engines in 3D. Regardless of which way you look at Weekend Mechanic 3D, it is a pretty neat application.

TwitchTV has updated their Android app today and this update brings a couple of great features to the app, one of which has been sorely needed. This new update brings the Persistent Player to the app which basically means that video will now continue to play while you re browsing for content.

One thing that has always been great about Google Play is that developers can immediate publish their applications and games right to the market without any wait time at all. However that appears to be changing now with Google announcing that they will begin reviewing apps and games to uncover any violations (TOS violations, inappropriate content, rating violations etc etc) and malware.
Breaking news is coming out of Tokyo this morning as Nintendo has announced that the company has teamed up with DeNA to bring games to smartphones and tablets. On top of that, the agreement is also to build a new multi-membership service accessible worldwide.

We’ve been following the development of PocketMine since it was created, even using it in our own Minecraft: Pocket Edition server. It has come a long way since its inception, now having a plug-in library, mod tools and all sorts of other goodies. There was regular communication between Mojang developers and Shoghi Cervantes, the developer behind PocketMine, on Twitter quite often. So it should be as no surprise that Mojang has finally brought Shogi on board.
Companion Applications are an interesting concept in a lot of ways because you’re basically trying to take advantage of the mobile gaming industry, and the gaming industry in general, by extending the functionality of your game to include mobile devices. This could be for a lot of reasons and done in many ways, whether it is actually useful features, a second screen feature, news and update, and whatever else a developer can think up in order to make their games look like there is a lot more features to it then there actually is.

In other words, they have released an Home Replacement app that is dedicated to changing the look of your home screen, icons, and other features to reflect your love of the Pokemon world.
It is no secret that Nintendo has been a strong opponent when it comes to bringing official franchises from their platform onto mobile devices. The company absolutely refuses to consider any of their games for non-Nintendo mobile gaming devices. It’s something that we have reported on a few times in the past and yet, here we are talking about Nintendo and an application that may be coming to mobile devices.
