The trees were lit and houses decorated in lights, presents opened and Android devices given to children and adults alike. Christmas is over for everyone and boxing is today if you’re in Canada so good luck to everyone dealing with the crowds in the stores up there. For US Residents who missed out on when the Nexus 4 originally went on sale on Google Play, mostly due to the checkout process crashing and generally not working properly due to all the traffic, there is some more good news for you this morning as well. Google has announced that the Nexus 4 will be going back on sale today at Noon PST. Unfortunately this is for US residents only so anyone else waiting to get one outside of the USA have to wait a bit longer.
The next generation of the Samsung Galaxy Note, appropriately named the Samsung Galaxy Note II, has officially gone on sale for those of you who have been eagerly waiting to get your hands on this new device. Depending on the route you take in acquiring one, you can purchase it for $370 on-contract through T-Mobile or, if you want to get it a little cheaper, you can hit up Wirefly where it is currently going for $279 with a new two-year contract.
In an interesting move by Sony regarding Xperia devices, anyone who is fiddling with the Android OS on any of them by rooting their Xperia device won’t be able to have it fixed by Sony should anything go wrong with your Xperia phone regardless if it is hardware related.
ZTE is apparently making what they are calling the next ‘advanced Android gaming smartphone’ and we won’t have long to wait before it will be unveiled. In fact, according to reports, this new gaming smartphone will be officially unveiled on July 18th, which is tomorrow.

Well one issue has been officially cleared up thanks to the Google Play store which has revealed that the next Android OS version named Jelly Bean will indeed be Android 4.1 and not Android 5.0. On a less surprising note, the first device to get this update will be the Galaxy Nexus.
