We’ve played with an early version of Mad Catz’s Android-powered game console MOJO and have followed the news on its development since it was announced back in the Summer. Now we get to report on the fact that the console will finally be shipping out to anyone who’s pre-ordered one, just in time for the holidays as promised by the company.

Black Friday is almost upon us (November 29th, 2013 for those of you who may have forgotten) and as always this means people are out hunting for all the best deals that they can find. When it comes to Android products, there’s a plethora of deals to be had not only on Black Friday but on Thanksgiving Thursday, Cyber Monday and over the weekend as well.
Ouya has decided to release today a limited edition version of their Android-powered console for the holiday season. This new version of their console isn’t the upcoming Ouya 2 or anything like that. Instead it is a white version of the original but it isn’t just merely an aesthetic change that the console has received in this new holiday edition.
The recently released multiplayer FPS game Neon Shadow from Crescent Moon Games and Tasty Poison Games has made the jump from standard Android devices over to the Android-powered game console Ouya today. This FPS game takes inspiration from some of the more old school games in this genre like Doom but wraps it all up in a cyberpunk theme instead.
Ouya said, back before the console launched, that their Android-powered console would see new versions of it being released with updated hardware on a regular basis. The company did warn everyone that this would basically mean that a new console would be released every year or pretty much every year as long as their is a substantial upgrade in hardware to do.
Punch hostile animals in the face with Fist of Awesome, now available for Android, Ouya and GameStick
Back in November of last year we reported on the Kickstater for a game called Fist of Awesome hit up Kickstarter for funding which it eventually got successfully. Since then we’ve watched this game get developed and now it is finally time to enjoy punching random hostile animals in the face as Fist of Awesome is now available on Google Play as well as for Ouya and GameStick.
NY Comic Con sees Batman: Arkham Origins announced for Android, integrates with console version
So NY Comic Con happened over the weekend and during the event Warner Bros and DC Entertainment announced that Batman: Arkham Origins would be making its way to mobile devices in the near future. Not only will the game be arriving onto Android and iOS soon, you’ll be able to unlock additional suits in the console version of the game when playing the mobile version.
A lot of people have had their eyes on Mad Catz who have promised to build the most powerful Android-based console that would be available when it launches. While the company has been tight lipped over the specs of the console, we did get some hands-on time with a prototype version with prototype hardware during the GameStop Expo this year.

Ouya has pumped out a new firmware update that addresses a few issues that had come up regarding a few different problems that would cause the system to crash. While this was one main focus for the update another was just improving the overall discoverability of games on the Android-powered game console.
If you happen to be a fan of DotEmu, own an Ouya game console, and the retro games they have been bringing over to Android devices over the past couple of years then there is some good news for you today. The company today has announced that Another World: 20th Anniversary Edition has been released onto Ouya and is now available for download.
