New details released about Spacetime Studios upcoming MMORPG called Arcane Legends

It has been a few months since we announced Spacetime Studios next title in their series of MMORPGs called Arcane Legends. While details have remained pretty hush hush for the most part, back then we at least knew that Spacetime Studios would be taking the best mechanics out of their previous Legends games and combining them into Arcane Legends. We now know a little bit more about this new MMORPG and have a few more screenshots to check out.

EA is basically dropping the idea of single-player games, goes for interconnected games instead

Electronic Arts have been speaking a lot over the past few days about their stance in the gaming industry in general, talking about how they are saving any new IPs for when the next-gen consoles are released and that they won’t be making the same mistakes next year as they did this year. Now word has come out that they have completely dropped the notion of single-player games and are now, instead, focusing solely on multiplayer games and interconnection between platforms, something we have seen slowly making its way onto their mobile games lately.

The Gameloft Report: Modern Combat 4, Wild Blood, My Little Pony and more coming this year

Gameloft released their financial earning and future plans today and while the numbers they announced are quite impressive, the real news was in the fact that they plan to release 20 games between now and the end of 2012, if all goes according to plan of course. Interestingly enough, in that announcement, Gameloft let the cat out of the bag regarding some unannounced games heading our way. Modern Combat 4 anyone?

Hero Mages gets updated with asynchronous multiplayer and more

Hero Mages from D20 Studios is one of the more detailed and deep turn-based strategy RPG titles to come out for mobile. It has already won a fair amount of awards for the technical aspects of the game and is even getting a physical board game released by Game Salute which is pretty much the first time a mobile game, Android or otherwise, has become an actual board game. There are plenty of mobile games that are existing board games but not the other way around.

Konami announces Metal Gear: Social Ops for mobile devices, coming soon

During Konami’s 25th anniversary Metal Gear Solid event, the company announced a couple of new games that will be coming to the franchise, one of which will be for mobile gamers. If you are expecting this to be filled with sneaking around and letting you slice people’s throats open, you will be surprised. Instead this will be a card battle game with a ‘Mother Base’ element layered onto it.
