Mobile game developers will be competing for a top prize of $100,000 for the best mobile game build using the new Project Anarchy mobile game development engine.

Lords of Discord – Herocraft’s upcoming cross-platform tactics style strategy game coming in 2014
Herocraft has made a lot of games for mobile as well as publishing games by other developers as well. However the company is looking to expand their reach and in doing so they are breaking into an area where a lot of games don’t reach into. This area is the cross-platform gaming experience and while there’s a lot of games that are cross-platform between iOS and Android, there isn’t a whole lot that move past that into the realm of PC/Mac/Linux gaming.
Rube Goldberg and the machines he made have have inspired people throughout the years into creating complex machines and constructs using random objects to accomplish the most menial tasks possible such as pushing a ball 2 inches to the left. However, they are fun to build and even more fun to watch in action, especially when people get a little crazy with their contraptions.
Rovio finally announces a release date for their Angry Birds Go kart racing game, shown off with a trailer as well
Rovio has been hinting at a kart racing game for quite some time now but today the company made it official by announcing a release date as well as the first, of probably many, trailers for everyone to check out. There is also a full micro-site for the game now as well which, we must admit, is actually pretty nifty looking.
Back when it was announced that Trendy Entertainment was making a sequel to their hit tower defense style game Dungeon Defenders, everyone seemed pretty excited about a lot of the changes that would be arriving with this sequel. One of the big changes was that it would be a lot more like a MOBA style game than an action-based tower defense game like the original was.
Marvel announces two games heading to Android worldwide soon – Marvel Run Jump Smash! and Marvel: Avengers Alliance
NY Comic Con had a few other gaming related announcements while the event was happening and these were from Marvel Entertainment who announced two new games that will be making their appearance on Android in the near future. One game is already out on iOS called Marvel: Avengers Alliance while the second game is MARVEL RUN JUMP SMASH! will be launching on multiple platforms including Android worldwide.
Over the course of the last week and a half we have had the pleasure of reporting on lots of Square Enix news regarding Final Fantasy as well as some of their other franchises like most of their Dragon Quest series. When we reported that Final Fantasy VI was heading to mobile this Winter we also mentioned that Final Fantasy VII had promising prospects in regards to arriving onto mobile in the near future. That near future seems to be longer than we had hoped… a lot longer actually.
NY Comic Con sees Batman: Arkham Origins announced for Android, integrates with console version
So NY Comic Con happened over the weekend and during the event Warner Bros and DC Entertainment announced that Batman: Arkham Origins would be making its way to mobile devices in the near future. Not only will the game be arriving onto Android and iOS soon, you’ll be able to unlock additional suits in the console version of the game when playing the mobile version.
The title may seem a bit weird but Google has been wanting developers to make sure their games and applications look and run good not just on Android phones but on tablets as well. Starting November 21st, 2013 when you log into the Google Play store from a tablet you will automatically be directed to a new section called ‘Designed for Tablets’.
