Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is a game we’ve talked about a few times in the recent past. Developed by American MeGee and his company Spicy Horse Games, Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is a rather good looking action RPG that tells a rather twisted version of Red Riding Hood while meshing it with setting it in the Edo period of Japan, inspired by ancient demons, with hand-painted visuals.

In terms of hybrid games that mesh together two or more different game genres into one title, Growtopia has to be one of the more stranger hybrid games when you initially think about it. The developers describe Growtopia as an experimental multiplayer sandbox platformer with crafting which just sounds really confusing at first.
A new rogue-like dungeon crawler has arrived for Android called Dungelot. Developed by Red Winter Software, this rather unique style of dungeon crawler has players flipping over tiles as they search for the key which will allow them to escape the level they are currently on safely. As you flip tiles, you’ll also reveal either loot or monsters you will need to fight.
Psionic Games have released a new point and click adventure escape game called Killer Escape. As you may have guessed from the title, you awaken in a dark dank cell in which a serial killer has put you there, most likely in order to kill you at a later time. With that being your final fate if you don’t do anything, you are off to figure out how to escape from this cell and hopefully to freedom.
A new RTS game has surfaced on Google Play called Warfare & Havoc from developers going by the name of Bavuwe Software. This particular game is a top-down real-time strategy title where you’ll be commanding troops and other military units to perform tactical maneuvers and attempt to take out the enemy in each stage.
It looks as though yesterday’s Greatest Hits free apps and games promo was only for one day and is now over. However, Amazon’s free app/game of the day continues to chug along and today’s freebie is actually a game from Sega called ChuChu Rocket. This game originally appeared back on the Dreamcast console system and was brought over to Android some time ago.
Soulcraft, a game that went into beta mode right at the beginning of this year, finally sees the light of the day as a “proper” release as the year fittingly comes to a close. The game, which has you playing as angel for now, features five different game modes set in diverse real-world locations that are depicted in cell shaded graphics such as Hamburg, New York, Great Wall of China and Venice.
LEGO Hero Factory Brain Attack was actually supposed to see a release in January next year as a result of a partnership between LEGO and Amuzo Games, but it has made its way a few days early (not that we’d be complaining anyway) onto Google Play for free for everyone to enjoy.
Back in November of this year we mentioned that GREE was partnering up with various companies to bring a rather interesting selection of titles to Android. While these releases would be Japan-only at first, chances are they will be coming to the rest of the world soon as seen with previous games released onto Android. One of these titles is now here, or in Japan rather, and it is Metal Gear Solid: Social Ops.
Activision has brought back a game that many people loved to play back in the day on their Atari 2600 console systems and that game is Pitfall!. However, this new release of Pitfall! is actually a re-imagined version and instead of swinging over gaps in the ground, finding treasure and inevitably dieing a lot, this version is a 3D endless runner.
