Google initially released their Cardboard VR headset as an example of Virtual Reality and Android working together. Now reports are coming out that the company is working on a new VR headset that will actually take the form of a true VR headset, instead of a piece of folded cardboard.

One of the features that Google Play has been seriously lacking since its inception was the ability to use promo codes. Apple’s iTune store allows developers to make promo codes to give out copies of their games and apps, but it is something that Android has been missing all this time. Well it appears that Google has finally added the ability for developers to make promo codes as well through the developer’s console.

Google appears to be quite committed to making YouTube Gaming good and today the company has rolled out version 1.2. This update brings with it all kinds of improvements to the service itself, as well as to some of the Android-specific features as well, especially regarding mobile device live game streaming.
Chromecast, the dongle that allows apps to project content on to TVs, is getting more attention from Google. According to the Google developer’s blog, the company just announced the release of the “Google Cast Remote Display plugin for Unity”. What it does is make games based on the Unity engine take advantage of Chromecast’s screen casting ability.
Recently Google added the ability to stream app and game demos from Google Play that developers can use to show off a game or app online via a browser. Now Google is taking advantage of this feature themselves by offering up that feature within Google Ads themselves.

Android developers will have a new option for their applications and games starting next year that will add an official ‘Ads’ tag to their products on Google Play. This was originally announced back during Google I/O where games and apps in the Designed for Families program have had an “Ad-Supported” tag in their listings. Now Google is ready to expand this to all Google Play games and applications.
